HP Deskjet Printer Problem

We have a deskjet all in one f4580. Installed a new UPC modem lastweek and went to use the printer the last evening, it didnt print and the wireless light just flashed. Uninstalled and reinstalled but reinstall just gets as far the connection part and fails to find the printer. Neither of us are particularly tech savvy but…

Neither of us are particularly tech savvy but have gone through all the guides and HP support to no avail. Any ideas or is it just kaputt.

Try connecting the printer to the modem using a cable or directly to the computer. If it works then there must be an incompatibility between the wireless settings on the modem and those on the printer. i.e. SSID, encryption type, password.
