MS Office 2013

    Hi,

I recently bought my parents a new Windows 8 laptop as well as MS Office Home & Student 2013.

I activated the product key and downloaded MS Office (I think). When I clicked on the MS Office icon on the laptop nothing happened, so I tried running MS Office click to run. This has supposedly been installing for over an hour.

There is now no MS Office icon on the laptop or any sign of any of the standard MS Office packages (Word, Excel etc).

How do I uninstall, reinstall (do I need to) and make sure MS Office is working?

    Thanks,

    Sarah

Office installation is reliant on the internet connection, whether it's prwinstalled or not honestly. Not unheard of for installation to take a chunk of time.

Once activated and registered the installer can always be retrieved from office.com

As Overheal said, it depends on your internet connection. I've seen Office 2013 take well over an hour to install. Leave it for a while and come back to us!
