    Hey everyone.

Didn't know whether to post this in the mature section or here.

Recently filled out my CAO and online application for Trinity (Mature student).

Was just wondering if anyone here would know the time frame on when you be notified for an interview (if I get one). And if you don't get an interview do they let you know? Heard that if you don't get an interview you just don't hear back from them.

Any help would be great :)

P.S Mods feel free to move this if it's in wrong section.

Applied myself as a mature student too, the suspense is terrifying! :)
At the open days they said interviews are held between March and May.
I think no interview is the only indication that you were unsuccessful. I've read here before that some people contact the admissions office if they were unsuccessful to see how they could improve their chances next time around. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that but worth bearing in mind.

    Best of luck!

i had my interview at the end of April so i wouldn't worry too much there's still plenty of time. Think i received a letter about two weeks before the interview, i also think they let people know if they don't get an interview as well, best of luck!

also 10 is a lot of mature students, there's only three in my course!

I recently filled out the TCD Mature Student application, it doesn't say anywhere you need to send in any supporting documents, ie. Leaving cert results or other diploma's.

Do i still need to send them in and if not will that affect my chances?

I send mine via the CAO since I applied to other college's also. I don't think you need to send anything. If your called for an interview it might be wise to bring references.

Hi just wondering if any other mature students have gotten past the "pending no decision " on their application?? The suspense is killing me....!

    Nope still haven't heard anything.

Guidance counselor in college said the other day they haven't started notifying anyone yet so that was a bit of a relief.

I had my interviews last year aound the beginning of April and I didnt hear anything until about 3 weeks later when I got an email to check my mytcd status. I got my 3rd choice theb but I ended up getting my first in the second round (end of Aug).

The letter I got calling me for interview gave me two weeks notice.

It may say pending no decision for a while after the interview.

    Best of luck everyone

I applied for the Drama Studies at TCD and received a questionnaire this week to be in for Friday. So can imagine they are still at the starting stages of selection! Only 200 are asked to interview, really hope I get the opportunity.

Now writing it is the problem! Been staring at the questions for a good hour with nothing to show for it! (i guess thats good prep for college life!)

Well i got 2 new messages in the tcd portal saying that my application was unsuccessful. Theres still my 3rd choice which is pending, but i guess i shouldn't be too hopeful..

I should prob give up hoping that the 3rd application stands a chance. Is it best to email or ring them to get feedback?

Really struggling to keep positive about this now. I felt my application and questionnaire were both really strong, ugh.. :(

Yeah pretty disappointed, i really thought i'd get at least to interview.

Still one pending which is the drama studies on its own. (others were split courses drama/film and drama/english) So there's still hope, but not being too optimistic.

Best of luck with yours, hope everyone else has better luck!

My second choice was unsuccessful, feel a bit disappointed also since I was going to put my all into the interview. Fingers crossed for the other choice.

Sending you positive vibes for your other choice
