Alot of the maintainance stuff you've been at will pay you back a bit too in fuel economy, tyre wear and the like. Not to mention the engine not exploding :).

Funiest thing happened today, actually no wait, it wasn't funny. Dad was in the tractor, opened the door and the wind blew it clean off BOTH HINGES. I told him so many times to replace the gas strut thing that prevents this kinda thing from happening, but "sure it'll be grand" was the reply. For those of you who don't know what the door is like, then its the same as this, all glass. Wind blew it a good 2 - 3 metres away. I don't know how, but it didn't smash, thankfully, but both of the hinges are frigged.

Same happened a girl I know in her car. Wind blew door back. Didn't come off hinges, but done a fair bit of damage.

On the hunt for a car to practice in and I had been eyeing up Clio's, Fiesta's etc. While they have zero cool factor I had seen a few Hyundai Accents that were well priced, have long NCT's etc and would be ideal for the job. Showed the missus and she's effectively told me I can't get an Accent.... it'd be too embarassing, even for her.

    Agreed, she's a keeper.

Have you priced Pumas? Basically a Fiesta, insurance and motor tax are a little higher but they are nice. Hard to see out the back of though.

They are prone to hairdryer failure and straightening tong rattles.

I'm sure the problems aren't perm inant however :p

Getting that itch to change car in the next 6 months or so.

Something rwd and with more cylinders I think.

Wonder 6 months down the road if I could get 6k-6.5k for it.
