How do you make use of the new price structures? looking at my bill, it's gone up now to 50.99 pm for what is 120mb and freetime world.....on their website that price should get me the 200mb package and what I'm getting now is a good 8 euro less on the web site(I'm paying for 120mb's but still getting the old 100meg it seems)

is it just a case of signing up to a new 12 month contract and you're good to go?

You could change to any pack, but as you said, you'd have a new contract.
Note that the website prices include the €3.50 discount which you would also have if you register for myupc.

Already registered for myupc......so it's just a case of clicking on ordering the new package and it will be changed? what if I downgraded to the 50mb deal, is there a charge for downgrading?

AFAIK there is a €10 fee to downgrade.

If you received a price increase letter dated the last 30 days you can downgrade without penalty. I'd be inclined to call in for that though rather than use a website.

I have received the letter advising of changes to monthly subscription charges and I am quite happy to ring to cancel my service.

However, I notice that advice on the forums mentions that changes that impact service can be grounds to cancel a contract.

I'm looking over past bills since I joined in May 2013 and now i see that only a month after I joined, my Anywhere 100 portion of the Essential Bundle changed to Anywhere 150 without my being told. Does this constitute a change that impacts my service?

    Thank you,
    James.

Its a 'free' upgrade, like getting extra broadband speed or new channels being added, I doubt that'd give you grounds to exit a contract.

Well I've spoken to them, been given out to because I didn't ring fast enough within the 30 days and now have to e-mail resolution team@upc.ie to give my 30 day notice. It will mean I'll most likely be overcharged by 2 or 3 days says she so I need to get on to customer service afterwards to kindly request the refund of those 3 days.

At least I'm avoiding the cancellation charge!

    J.
