Precisely what I was going to say.

We follow the rise and fall of a season, but as a supporter, there is zero point in wallowing.

There's always another game, that's why I'm an optimist.

So we win tomorrow night and we're the best thing since sliced bread until the next 6 goal drubbing because nothing has changed when it matters. Well if that's what keeps us happy then continue on as is. Hope is our saviour.

It's called self-preservation. Alternatives would be suicide or stop supporting Arsenal.

Well that has really worked well in the last 9 years.

Plenty of good moments in the last 9 years. Could have done much better of course but if I'd got no enjoyment for that length of time I wouldn't bother.

The only difference has been the scheduling of fixtures so far. I made that point months ago and was laughed out. Yet I was right. But the excuses keep repeating themselves

What you said there didn't really answer my question and seems to assume finishing roughly 20 points off top needing a win on the last day to secure CL football is a given?

    When was that?

Will try and find the article from that time.

Here's a couple to start with that make reference to it, not sure if they are behind a paywall or not.

Football clubs follow Arsenal into property development

    Arsène’s austerity (An excellent read)

Fair enough but it's not good enough for me. Fed up with promising seasons and then ending up fourth.

While I think it would be best for Arsene to depart and move the club on I really think a top striker is the difference. You only have to look at Liverpool to see what a top class strike force does. When was the last time ye had a top striker excluding RVP? Henry probably.

One thing ye really lack too is a leader on the pitch, where is your Kompany, Terry or Gerrard?

The biggest thing I see wrong with Wenger is his insistence on playing the same way all the time. It makes it easier for teams to prepare when they play ye. Ye turned up to play Chelsea just the same as Liverpool and Chelsea did exactly what Liverpool did. Pressed ye high up the pitch, gained possession and pass the ball behind your defence.

If anything I'd say securing 4th last season showed a bit of grit, even if it was a lovely run of fixtures that helped, not something that's been shown this season. There's still plenty of time to slip back as far as we were last season as well.
The season's over before my Paddy's Day hangover is gone. Well, assuming we don't have a complete collapse til the end of the season. If we go on a run like 10/11 (9 points in the last 8 games) we might get some excitement afterall.

What can you do though? Stop supporting the team?

Imagine how any of the other bottom 16 teams supporters feel!

I'll be honest and say I think it's perverse that a supporter would see that as exciting.

Always next year and still a cup final to look forward to this season - hopefully !

    You giving up then?

I thought they got paid enough not to need rotation?

i thought players cant play more then 1 match a week?

So what is it then? cant rotate? unable to play 1 match a week? which is it?

    make a decision

We can do very little but the season ticket holders can do a lot.
Why they haven't done so already is a mystery.
Maybe they believe all the promises of big spending we get year after year.
Anyway as the song goes "What's another Year".

First one is paywalled, second one says nothing new. All I could find was that some properties were sold at a 20% discount, representing a total "loss" of 4% of income, pretty piss-poor management if that was enough to put them in danger of administration. And last I checked the chances of a company making £50million profit in the last 6 years going into administration is pretty low.

What the **** are you on about? It wouldn't be exciting going into the last day needing a result and getting it?

And be able to play for more then once a week without moaning about fatigue and ****
tiredness? they get ****ing paid 100k a week whilst many of us here takes us 5+ years to earn that amount whilst working alll ****ty hours 5-6 times a week?

    You dont see Messi complaining
wenger overplayed walcott imo when he came back from injury. he needed some rest inbetween games but played 7 games in a row.

we need to learn how to rotate our midfield more often and we can as we have lots of midfielders(well we use to as now half of them are injured!)

I believe it was you getting the points confused. Which is it?

I wouldn't call challenging for the BPL and winning the FA Cup mediocre.

No, I find it perverse that you would look forward to (find it exciting) if we only got 9 points from 8 games!

Well right now it's looking like there's only 2 matches left in the season worth watching.

nope its others here so i used walcott as a bait for you to see what people will say.

    So what is it then?

Rotate players because they are relaly tired or are players lazy?

Which one?if they are tired and wenger doesnt rotate then that is yet another reason why wenger is an average manager

What would you call the 6-0, 5-1 and 6-3 then?
"Challenging" is a funny word because it is hard to quantify. I suppose we challenge until we meet real quality and then fall off and inevitably settle for fourth.
As for the Cup, it is only incidental to me. The real action is the EPL. Sure didn't Wigan win it last season and where are they now.

Where did I say I was looking forward to it. Are you really that obtuse?

    Ches Fabianski

    Sagna
    Mert
    Verm
    Gibbs

    Flamini
    KallstromArteta

    Ox Gnabry
    Rosicky
    Cazorla

    Sanogo

Can't see Kallstrom start. Ox & Chesney should sit out a game, they were awful on Saturday.

    Szczesny
    sagna mert TV gibbs
    flamini rosicky
    gnabry cazorla podolski
    Giroud

Had to go with giroud cause you just know he'll score against weaker opposition. The only other consideration would be fab but went with snez to get the confidence back. Would have dropped gibbs and played Verm at LB only for kos injury.

    3-0 for me.

    Giroud x 2, cazorla

we are no longer challenging for the BPL and tbh never did so long as we couldnt even beat any of our rivals minus a home win against liverpool.

And you speak as if we won the fa cup. We wont. We wont even reach the final. This squad and wengers ability is pathetic when it comes to must win games.

    masters of bottlers.

At least we will get top 4
