Can Voda/O2/Meteor be used as WAN?

Hey Guys,

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me or maybe has some experience.

I need to run a application which is very susceptible by packet loss and latency over 3G. (It's a live audio stream)

Naturally 3G and the internet in general has it's ups and downs with congestion, so I'm trying to reduce exposure as much as possible.

Would I be correct in saying, that for example, two Vodafone devices should communicate entirely within the Vodafone network and not route outside it at any point? I'm assuming Vodafone has plenty of capacity to easily keep things flowing nicely within the network and avoiding bottlenecks cause by internet access.

Any input is massively appreciated!

Have you tryed using a VPN, I had issues using three data in Dublin city centre, started up a VPn, all good.

Yea but even with a VPN is it ultimately still going to get router out of the network at some point I wonder.

I guess I could tracert between the two dongles and see where they go.

It all depends on the location of the mobile dongles.

If the antenas are linked direclty to the provider's network, should be internal, but it is also possible that the backhaul that feeds the antena is from an external provider. This scenario is quite common in locations where the provider does not have it's own network or is too expensive to provide it, relying on a third party instead.
