Jim Spence is reporting https://twitter.com/bbcjimspence that Dundee united have requested that their semi is in Celtic Park if they are to play Rangers. They have been allocated 13k tickets if it is in Ibrox. I was under the impression that both teams were to be offered 50% of the tickets, pretty poor from the SFA if they are only offered 13k

They have rightly refused the request to play the semi at Celtic park also there is no way they could get 50% of the tickets due to the lay out of the ground.

That's a shocking amount of tickets.

With their attendances surely half would suffice. :pac:

The request has already been refused I see.

Doubt there's much teams that were put back to the 4th league.

Napoli were in Serie C once and had back to back promotions to Serie A.

You weren't put back to the Fourth tier, you were granted entry to it.
I can't think of any teams that were demoted to the bottom league ever. Although plenty of new teams have started there.

    They weren't demoted.

They were allowed enter Scottish football in 4th Tier.

Rangers go two up with a debut goal from young Callum Gallagher

The point is that they should at least have the option

The tickets will probably not not end up being 50:50 for the other semi either. Aberdeen will bring a lot more fans than St Johnstone and I imagine that St Johnstone will return tickets, but at least they will have the chance to fulfill any demand

If they can sell their allocation, does it matter?

How many tickets are being reserved for 'corporate', whats the actual maximum allocation that will go to both clubs out of interest does anyone know?

No Idea you know as well as I do the SFA will look after those and such as those

I see the loan with Laxey Partners has gone through, why isn't Ibrox revolting seeing as fans "offered" interest free loans and even lower interest loans but these were ignored?

They are no different to any other FA in that regard. Fans = $, Corporate = $$, TV = $$$

The way Ibrox is Built I doubt they could allocate 50/50 without creating a danger to fans of both sides

If The The Rangers weren't in the semi Final - which they aren't yet -, if it was say Aberdeen v Dundee United, would it be nearer 50/50 then? bar the corporate and neutrals.

Look I have no idea how they would manage it it I imagine it would be a nightmare to plan and police.

Rangers go 1-0 a cross into the box and Aird is on the end of it to shoot home

Daly and Black are playing so bad, McCoist has to turn it around.

They have but we haven't moved out of first gear and that makes me uncomfortable. We need to up the tempo and make our passing a lot sharper

Jon Daly makes it 0-2 :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Rangers go 2-0 up a cross into the box and big Jon Daly head it into the net

    Into the semi-final :D

Finishes 2-0 and thats us into the semi's I will say I fear we will get pumped there if we don't tighten up at the back and in our passing and we also have to up the tempo.
One real plus point is that young Gallagher got his first start and looks a great prospect

Odd that all of a sudden now certain people in the press are complaining about Ibrox being the venue for the semi.

Going as far as Hartson saying that Rangers (who are the home team by the way) should give Dundee Utd the home dressing room.

David Tanner put Jackie McNamara in his place last night when he was whining about it, asked him if he thought Celtic had an unfair advantage when they playing us in the Semi Final at Parkhead in 98

Just as well Setanta don't post on this thread, going by the below snippet they'd be banned.

Think I will take anything they say with a pinch of salt after what happened to them in Britain.

I wonder is there any truth in the article though.

That decision wouldn't have been made by setanta I'd imagine
