Last night Police car came up behind me while I was on the Howth road, they always seem to come up behind very quickly, there was a Micra in front of me and I was going to over take but screw that, after the Micra turned off the road they pulled up on my left at the traffic lights and then booted it at 100km an hour on a public road, I accidentally went up to 80km behind them but slowed down when I saw my speed, they were going way faster. Id say they were just hooning.

In fairness though, that new surface on the Howth Road is nice. :D

Skoda Superb 170 2.0 TDI DSG - with leather and toys.

Are these rare in Ireland as 08/09 - or am I looking in the wrong places - or is it just theres none on the market this week.

Only found one - without the leather online today.

Is a trip to the Uk to pick up one worthwhile these days???

Thing is - theres no hurry - but im wondering if it was a case that theres actually very very few 170 tdi with DSG plus leather and toys to be had in Ireland.

Or is it just slack supply at moment

Launched in very late 08, we're only beginning to catch on in 09. Better choice in 10 onwards.

No probs. There's another one on Cars Ireland although I think it's a bit steep.

Yes - fair point - and of course no doubt Skoda over here stocked up on what they figured would sell over here - 1.9 tdi 105s.

Was just looking to keep an eye on prices tbh - as my brother is in no hurry.

As you say - they are more common from 2010 onwards.

    Whats the budget Old diesel?

    Whats the budget Old diesel?

Unfortunately he didn't give one - hes just thinking off an 08/09 Automatic diesel.

Theres no panic as hes not in a rush for a few months.

Tbh - I was just wondering if it was normal for there to be so few 08/9 Skoda Superb 170 tdis with DSG - and I guess it looks like it is.

I think he wants to see what prices 08/09 auto diesels are making and see how that fits into what he wants to pay.

Hes more working off that he is budgeting for his motoring to cost a certain amount with his current car.

And is more working off the idea of what the new car would be worth in a few years time - and working the budget of his motoring that way.

To give you an idea - he priced up a 2 year old CT 200 - and the tax and fuel were a lot less on that - but the depreciation on his current car is very little

So they end up costing the same - if that makes sense

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE NEW DONEDEAL APP OR UPDATE IT.

The update isn't working and has made my iphone go a bit screwie.

Must be an IPhone issue. I see on their facebook page that I'm not the only one.

Would anyone have any concerns about buying welded OEM wheels?

    As per this link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-BMW-STYLING-152-INDIVIDUAL-ALLOY-WHEELS-10J-9J-E65-E66-7-series-SET-750-/321339336812

What caused the damage in the first place?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,653 ✭✭✭Voodoomelon

This is it, must be from a crashed vehicle. The paint job doesn't look particularly good.

At least you know it was welded. If they took a bit longer and grinded it down so the inside so you could not even tell it was welded or where. Maybe they should have done that so who ever buys them will be none the wiser.

Little tip, do a few laps, 4 max and come in for a few minutes and let the car relax. If you stay out too long you'll cook the brake fluid and bake the pads and that's no fun coming up to Dunlop at 100+ mph finding out you've no breaks.

Did that coming down the Sally Gap once. Tried to brake turn off after the hellfire club and realised that I'd very little brakes. Brown pants moment. Hehe

Starting to get pissed off at this datsun now
Someone has fitted a dodgy aftermarket immobilizer (why I don't know :P) resulting in the car not starting at all this morning even with a brand new battery.

I need to find a way to disable the immobilizer.

Arah that's no fun. Wanted to take the Datsun to her maiden meet.
After all the feckin around in a stupid cashcow and the time spent painting her matte black!
