problem with powered usb hub?

hi:) i bought a powered hub similar to this http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Port-USB-2-0-High-Speed-HUB-Powered-AC-Adapter-Free-/180522745344 prob is the peripherals(mouse and usb ethernet) lose power shortly after i connect the data cable to the android device i'm controlling any ideas thanks? or is it junk?:)
