    Hi
I downloaded and installed ubuntu a while back to check it out but never really used it. Had to partition the drive at the time, didn't know which was which so I split it 50/50. Problem is I don't know how to change it? I want to resize it to something like 80/20. Any help appreciated

you need to use gparted. it should be there in your system tools or you can start it with
    gksu gparted
from a terminal / command line.
Usual advice re backup etc applies

You could also try this excellent (Windows) app. Have used it countless times myself on many drives, in both laptops and desktops, very easy, and always works.
