    Hi all,

Next year I have to move out to Inishannon, and will be coming into UCC 5 days a week via bus. I was wondering does anyone know of a deal I can get, either through the college itself, or Bus Eireann, for reasonable travel prices, preferably a monthly ticket? The standard 10 trip student ticket is €40, so €40 a week, which is just a bit above my budget.. Has anyone been in a similar situation, who could recommend a better option?

    Cheers.

I had a look on the Bus Eireann website, and it looks like that ticket is the only option.

Might be a good idea to stick a note in the student centre and look for someone to share a lift with and contribute fuel money to, its worth an option

    Hi KingLoser,

I pass through Innishannon everyday on the bus. The best deal available is the 10 journey ticket (which is only valid for 7 days). It is worth buying your tickets online, as you build up loyalty points which can be redeemed against the price of a ticket when you have built up sufficient points (i.e. free 10 journey ticket :D) .

Also, it is worth mentioning that Innishannon is serviced far better than any other town in West Cork (bar Bandon) as almost every bus going to Cork has to pass through Innishannon - I would say there is at least 2 buses hourly going in each direction.
