My phone connects perfectly along with my housemates devices but my laptop comes back woth the error saying "Wireless auhentication failed because of a timeout". I have a toshiba laptop and I am on windows vista. I have never had problems connecting to wifi before. Please help!

Could you try removing security briefly and see if it connects?

    1. Check for all Services Packs and Windows updates over a network cable
    2. Manually update the network card driver. If 1 doesnt work chances are you have one of the Atheros cards with a bugged driver from factory. AR5XXX model numbers.
