For those on ps4, Second assault can be found by highlighting bf4 on dashboard, from there choose "Related Items", then scroll across onto the related items and scroll down to "view all". You'll find a nice little 5gb file waiting for you. Why they couldn't just have a simple point and click in the bf4 menu, i dono!

Well, just after my first full game of Metro... Won't be playing that again unless I'm on the Russian side. It is absolutely impossible to break through the nade spam and camping if you're on the US side. LVG is simply detestable. Sit on an ammo box and spam to your hearts content. On the plus side to Second Assault, the other maps are fine and enjoyable.

So played second assault for a bit.

Metro hasn't changed, still a grenade fest.
Firestorm is still crap as ever.
Caspian is now sniper central thanks to that wall.
Oman is also crap, especially when that sandstorm blows in, can't see a thing in the chopper.

Oh and on Caspian, you don't realise something has locked on until about half a second before the missiles hit, good job Dice.

Just finished up playing a few hours on second assault. Didn't make any changes to the settings but thankfully no crashes.
Just hope it stays that way.

I thought I knew these maps well, but I played like hot garbage today. Some nice graphical touches, the burning grasses on Caspian are pretty cool.

Having not played BF3, I heard about Metro only through this forum....

I only had two or three games of it. Not sure which is worse just yet. Locker or Metro. Locker usually ends up as a Door battle or a standoff battle at snow pass. Metro from what I saw ends up as a stairs battle around the lifts.
Both easily as annoying as the other.

Not neccessarily on Metro but on Locker theres alot of different ways to flank and not end up in the middle of the spam fest by the doors or snow path

Guess I'm in the minority, but I love the cluster fcuk on Metro and OP Locker, haha. It's a change to the half hour of running between flags on caspuan border.

I actually don't mind them too much but they can be rage inducing.
Die for whatever reason. Spawn on squad, dead to grenade. Spawn again, bouncy god damn LVG. Spawn again, BLOODY SPARKLERS. RUN!!!!!

It always seems to happen to me in waves. I really should learn to spawn back at a point instead of on squad in the middle of the clusterfcuk.

Still can't play at all. Soundloop bug showed up for the Feb13 patch, haven't gotten past the Deploy button since. Missed a 2XP weekend and the SA launch on PC. What the fup did I pay for premium for again?

Went back from Win8.1 to Win7 and must say all the problems are now gone. Enjoyed few games last night without any surprises.

A number of people with it on Metro.

Try changing the windows/sound settings to 16bit 48000KHZ(DVD Quality).

Also test between borderless and fullscreen. Some saying borderless is sorting it.

Seems to have fixed it for a number of people.

I know this game is exceptionally bad, but that kind of stuff right there is why I couldnt bring myself back to PC gaming, at least on the consoles we're all supposedly on the same hardware.

Played Second Assault last night for a few hours, mostly enjoyed it, except Metro, that map is atrocious, end of, played as both US and Russian on Metro, won 1, lost 1, enjoyed neither game, Cant understand why they didnt bring back either Kharg, Seine or Grand Bazaar instead of Metro and\ or Firestorm. Although i do think with the changes they made to Firestorm it improves it slightly. Caspian Border is really good, the tower can be a sniperfest but you can sit way back and mortar them and i also enjoyed Gulf of Oman, although not as much as i thought i would, when the sandstorm blows in its very annoying.

I'll give that a spin, I've kicked everything else bar the cat at this point, might as well try this.

New graphics drivers, all the win7 updates, delete the realtek device, restore the realtek device, vsync off, vsync on, yadda, yadda, yadda. Technically, in programming's rather arcane and technical way of putting things, this is what experts refer to as the "waving a dead chicken" approach...

After playing Metro 64 I now know why PC players were so anti-Metro; it is awful, actually one of the worse maps I have ever played. Pointless stuff.

This is said after having this round (see http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/32/435912288966162688/278703154/)

All you need to do is sit on a medi pack and ammo box and fire grenades... at one point I killed around 10-11 in a row without moving an inch.

Early impressions on Second Assault:

- Caspian; love it and wow 64 players makes it so much more difficult

- Firestowm; looks amazing and what could be the worse map on PS3 is now suddenly excellend

- Metro; see above (although I do love Rush on Metro so I am happy to have it back)

- Gulf; only joined mid-way through but looking forward to this map a lot with 64 players

Key point

I noticed all games I had (8) were completely one sided with one team almost spawn trapped apart from one game. The other 7 games were the most one sided I had on BF4 and all came on the same night on different servers.

Essentially this leads me to believe the maps are a little flawed and while BF4 gets stonked a lot I rarely see spawn trapping (thank god)
