Call Gray in Dublin Industrial estate. Its either in Jamestown or Finglas just off one of the M50 Exits. They have their own factory, their stuff is extremely cheap and it lasts forever. I have used them for dozens of houses and the blinds are perfect 10 years later. They also have zero problem fixing minor things like a broken cord

Blinds2U is very good and reasonable.

Hi all and thanks for the info. I visited some of the sites here but I was unable to find a straightforward estimation or one that was reasonably priced. I am looking for Roman blinds that will be made to measure and delivered for under €50 per window. 50 inch wide by 4.

I'd say it would be difficult to get Roman blinds made to measure for €50. You may get them made for that but it certainly wouldn't include the headrail. Also important to remember that Roman blinds now have to comply with Irish Safety Standards for window blinds. I know someone who could possible make up the blinds for €50 each but I imagine you would have to supply fabric/lining etc for that.

Hillarys! They send someone out to your house with a huge book of fabrics to choose from and they measure your windows then and there. When you've ordered them they will fit them for you! I just got every window in my house fitted with them and I'm extremely happy with the service and quality!

Thanks gg2608 for the information. I know its a bit cheap but I am in a hurry and am looking for a product that is reasonably priced with a reasonable quality.
I have found roman blinds on IKEA that have a measurement which is suitable for my purposes. As you pointed out though I will need to supply my own curtain pole/rail. Has any body bought these?
    - EMMIE
    Roll-up blind, white
    € 25.00
@larrlin24 Could you tell me how much they were per window and the size?

Hi, it depends on the size of the window and the fabric you choose. Mine worked out at about 5K for 29 windows but obviously it's different for everyone. If you decide to go for it, the guy who comes out to measure the windows can tell you the price of all the different fabrics!

Hi thanks again. I guess my point is I am looking for a straight forward ballpark figure for four windows - that way I know if it is in my range or not. Hillarys is very nice site, but again no prices. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

are all your windows the same size?? Are you looking for 4 ready to hang blinds for 50 euros each?? Made to measure Roman Blinds are a bespoke product... They take time & expertise to make properly. I wish you the best of luck with it, but I can't see you getting them made & ready to hang for that price anywhere.

    @ gg2608

    Thanks for that.

You won't get made to measure blinds for €50 per window and that's for sure!! Send me on your measurements in a pm and I will work out a price for you just so you know roughly how much your talking about!!

You won't get any sort of a quality blind, made to measure, for that price unfortunately. If you think about what is involved in making them, you will understand why, you have labour, fabric, lining, the kit, measuring and fitting for the installer and then a little bit of profit, there is no way anyone could afford to sell them that cheap with any sort of quality and survive in the industry.

Unfortunately I think the younger generation have this idea that window dressing are cheap, quality ones aren't and should be budgeted with that in mind. Sorry hopes this helps.

    I agree, quality costs money.

I had a roman blind made to measure to my kitchen window, by a lady in Dublin. It turned out fabulous, she provided a great services, from helping me to select the fabric to giving step by step insturctions on how to hang it up.

I paid €120 for the blind to be made and on top of that, I paid for the fabric and lining which I supplied.

PM me if you would like to have her details.

€120 just to have the blind made seems terribly expensive. Unless it was hand stitched & huge !
