Sure you selected the mens 500?
    Women do the same thing.

There should be 2 Mulders, Ronald and Michel.
Ronald is not without a chance either but it is Michel i was talking about.

found it..maybe my computer hadnt had any coffee...
    Thanks for the tip.
PP only offering outright on this.
I might put a bit on the Australian speed skater ;-) , was it the last Olympics, the Aussie guy was in 7th place , and all the leaders wiped eachother out on the last bend and he cruised home to the Gold.

That it is short track you are talking about.

This is 500 meters 1v1 so that can stll happen but there will only be 2 gone and not 4 or 5 in 1 go.

0.04 the gap, could only get Michel for the win on PP, but very small stake, enjoying the interest.
    Can he play football..:D

    Have you seen it?

Quite important for the win is who will have the last outside lane going to the finish line.

No idea if he can play football. Not on those skates i presume...

Just dumping this here as i looked everywhere but didnt see a Speed skating thread for some odd reason.... :D

    Good morning.

Today in Sochi, there is the 500 meter speed skating for men which could well end up delivering the 3rd gold for Holland.

Michel Mulder is the current world champion sprint (2x 500/2x1000 in 1 weekend) which was held 2 or 3 weeks ago. A few weeks befoe that, he recorded the fastest 500 metr time ever on the so called low land ice ( sea level).

I am not 100% sure which bookie has what but oddsportal/checker had odds for gold on quite a few bookies but they also had odds on him to finish top 3 @1.67 (William Hills)

To keep things fair, each skater has to do 2 races. 1st one starts at 13.00 GMT, 2nd at 16.00

If you decide to go for it, take care, there is 2 Mulders (brothers actually) and you have to pick Michel.

Not sure anyone knows much about speed skating here but the threat for this bet comes from Asia so if you go for him to get the gold, keeps stakes low (2/10) and for him to finish top 3 medium (5 or 6/10). it wouldnt be the first time some Japanese or South Korean has been hiding on purpose for an event like this.
It is the 500 meter, 1 bad move and you fly out of the stadium. There is no room for error.

I might post a pick or 2 more in the next few days but there isnt much value to be honest. But picks without the out an out favourite included could still give some value.

I dont like to use "free money" .... but it was :D

That is what a gold medal winner looks like: Michel Mulder

inforfun .. your being modest, it was a dutch clean sweep , Gold,Silver and Bronze .. and nice to see his brother (fastest time of the day in race 2) pick up the bronze.
If that happened in Irl we'd have a weeks holidays.
    great tip

Gonna be hard to resist a little punt on Bamford tonight, he he has scored 4 in 5 since joining Derby ( only 2 starts) from Milton Keynes (14 goals in 23)....

QPR miserly enough but 15/8 is decent enough imo

    Only a small bet tonight.

    1KCQzSj.png

Rounding out my Betfair Balance. 3.50 are nice odds (better than normal bookies) for one the the league top scorers - but the game will be tight, so I see why some are happy to lay it.

Great price, what was Bampford at that time do you know?

Been trying to figure out when the optimum prices go up on Betfair, seems to be closer to KO, when I was looking Bamford was 2.94, so assume Martin was shorter

Sorry, did not pay attention to Bamford. Martin was top of the list, so bet on him directly. If memory serves me right, I swa a lot of 3.00+ prices in the list. Bamford could have been part of that, but don't quote me on that!

    Good morning.

Today in Sochi it is the womens 500 meter but dont put your money on a Dutch gold there.
Outsider is Margot Boer but there is an very big favourite @1.3 in Lee Sang-hwa
If it is available anywhere, you could take a chance on Boer winning a medal.
It is rather obvious the mood in the Dutch camp is fantastic after 2 "hat tricks" already so she might suprise a few people.
If she is skating to her potential, she ll be finishing 4th/5th. If she manages to have the 2 races of her live she ll be in the medals. Gold can only be won if the big favourite screws up big time

Hartburg playnig a friendly in a few minutes against these guys

    URL removed

The records go from 2011 back but i think the +4.5 goal line can be taken with decent confidence @ 4/5

    it's on Astro too

Edit .. just realising that the link above is for the ladies team. Sorry guys soccerway doesn't say that it's ladies but clicking into some of the opponents links gives womens tournaments results. no mens team link available.

These guys Hartburg are playing are from a very low league though am still on the overs.

I see people picking Cardiff tonight - I fancy Villa peronally

Also reckon Southampton should beat Hull by 2 or 3

Yeah not really sure why I picked Cardiff Its on Telly so fancied something for interest! Game could go either way depending on which villa show up. Hull very solid at home and new signings have started well, can't see them losing at home to Southampton. My picks have been shocking lately though!

Not a chance of Southampton beating Hull by 2 or 3 goals. LOL. I'll drink my own piss if that happens.
