VAG 4.2 sounds the best though with the right aftermarket system pity it drinks oil.

N/A V8 engines are pretty bullet proof tbh, if it needs a litre of oil every 700 miles or so meh what can you do.

Would be my second choice over a Monaro next time around for sure. Most are in horrible colours though black/silver/grey etc

All they need are powdercoated wheels and an after market exhaust and done, have heard from a german guy i know who owned one the 800e or so for a remap only gives 15bhp pr so but improves responsiveness immediately and +3/4 mpg

I'd pay for the responsiveness, peak BHP means **** all really when you're driving properly. (Read: not top speed runs)

The old turbo V6's respond brilliantly to remap's. They'll keep up with the V8's by just plugging them into a laptop. It's mental!

350bhp from a N/A V8 would be great, sure 300+bhp from a hatch is fun but you only have that power while the boost needle is riding the end of the gauge, which isn't for long

From 18:50 on in that video, when he boots it and you hear the turbos spool up and then dump when he lifts off, its beautiful. Also look out the right window just before he gives it the beans and you will see a red car trying to overtake. It is left realing in the P1's dust. O man I could do that all day and never get bored.
