I updated to 4.3 on an xperia Z on O2. Wifi stopped working completely, I did a factory reset which now reset my phon to no apps but still 4.3. Now wifi works but it can stop working randomly and you won't know, you will sticll be connected. I have to turn it off and on again, very annoying as skype call constantly drop. Anybody had wifi issues?

sony have released a bug fix for this a few days ago for the z1, it should soon be released for the z too
14.2.A.1.136 is the firmware update and bug fixes
im still waiting for it for my z1 as it keeps dropping my signal with my qx10 lens

Having had Sony Tipo, S, U, and E models I must say I have been disappointed in the Sony software overall. Hardware is nice but there are constant bugs in the software and releases seem to be very slow. Sometimes it’s the carrier holding things up but sometimes its just Sony messing things up.
I found using SUS (Sony Update Service) on the PC was helpful as it will repair or install the newest Android version on your smartphone and the latest firmware seems to come via that channel quicker than over the air.

You can get updates via the PC Companion here http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

Does the latest version of the firmware actually fixk the problem?

The problem no longer appears on my up-to-date phone as much now. Calls will occasionally drop but internet is fine apart from that, (it could be a skype app issue)

I still cant get the Wi-Fi to work on my Sony Xperia Z

I entered *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.

The phone will not connect to any Wi-Fi.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have tried on an unsecured network as well. and it still just will not connect.
