If Mata joins United how many are going to bring him straight in?

I like that team. I'd prefer Rooney in there allowing a better 4th mid or Baines, but it's something different.

One thing I'd say is to change Bruce to a better 3.9 player, Baker or Whittaker most likely

    Thanks for the feedback.

If Rooney is returning well when rvp back thay switch could be made.

Bruce is only there as Chester injured. Any word on him? I'd swap him straight back if fit.

Nuts to that. In these circumstances why would you not go with Bruce to get a safe qay into Hull defence?

In total, Mata played around 80% of available minutes in the league (otherwise, injured, rotated, rested for European games). Assuming similar usage by Moyes, we can expect him to play in around 1150 minutes between now and the end of the season.
    ....

Good post other than this bit, Mata hasn't played anywhere near enough football this season to require rest.

Utd won't be going the distance in Europe.

If Mata ends up at UTD he'll play almost every game.

In effect, you've taken my 80% and turned it into 64% to make your point valid.

The "fairest" assumption is that it lies somewhere in the middle.

It's quite likely I will. He'd be my main differential outside the six necessary players mentioned on this thread earlier.

No that's fair enough if you want Hull coverage. I just don't rate him as a player. Baker is my pick of the 3.9's.

Yeah, its for Hull as a home defence. Villa would def not be my pick for a defence.

I'll be rotating between usually one of Bruce, Ward, Januzaj and Gnabry/Noone as the other 9 outfield pretty much need to be in the team every week barring injury/suspension.

I've been thinking about Bruce as my cheap, cheap defender. 3.9 and was starting even before Chester's injury.

For those without Ward or Gabbidon, Mariappa is 4m and has played the last 8 games for Palace, not sure if he's in for someone injured though or what

I haven't got Ward in yet as I haven't played my wildcard and cheap defenders are never priority transfers for me for whatever reason, he seems to be close to scoring every single week on Match of the Day, can't finish to save his life but seems to be a dab hand at getting on the end of crosses etc, only a matter of time before he has a 15 pointer, just hope I own him and play him that week.

Why do more people on this forum seem to prefer Ward to Gabbidon? i've had Danny since nearly the start and while Crystal Palace started off poor he has been a fantastic points earner! has Ward earned more bps or something cuz Gabbidon gets his fair share too!

Mainly because Ward has been playing out of position in midfield of late and therefore in a good position to get attacking points and pass completion counting towards bonus.

I changed in the wildcard as Ward was £0.1m cheaper, and seems to have moved into midfield.

Ah i see, i can't say i watch too many Palace games so i hadn't realised Ward was playing further up the pitch! Well that explains everything so!

Think i've nearly settled my wildcard team- with one obvious risk!

    Boruc
    Kos Coleman Kolarov
    Silva Hazard Ramsay MATA
    Suarez Aguero Ade

    Mannone Sterling Ward Bruce
Mata to united is worth the risk I feel as don't fully trust Jan or Rooney for points and want united cover
Don't mind holding Ramsay for week or two longer-
Otherwise I would re work mata/ Kol/ Sterling- opinions please?

Why Eto'o is not considered in any WC team ? He's really crossing my mind!...

    1. Not including the United game, he has had 13 shots off target, and 9 shots on target. He managed to only score 3 times from 22 shots. Compare that to, for example, Adebayor. 8 shots on target and 3 off target. He scored 5 goals with only 11 attempts.

    2. Again, not including the United game he has only 640 minutes this season and scored 42 points. That works out at roughly 1 points per 15.25 minutes played. Again, comparing to Adebayor, who has only had 553 minutes this season which works out at roughly 1 points per 11 minutes.

    3. He has played a full 90 minutes only 3 times this season

The only thing he has going for him really is the fact that Torres is injured. Jose doesn't seem to like Ba all too much so Eto'o should be first choice for now.

Trying to work out a team with Mata in it.. Likely means I'll be sticking with Silva over Yaya Touré..

    pMLzt0f.png

Chambers seem to have almost nailed down his spot at the back, but I'm unsure about him.

I do have one way of freeing up funds.. It pains me to say it.. But I could bank the 0.9 profit I've made from Coleman

Finally played it. This is looking like the finished squad!

    Szczesny
    Mert, Fonte, Olsson
    Yaya, Mata, Cabaye, Henderson
    Suarez, Ade, Aguero

    Subs: Davis, Ramsey, Bennett, McNaughton.

Would it be madness to leave Aguero out of the team? If I bring in Sturraidge instead of him the team would be,

    Szczesny
    Mert, Terry, Jagielka
    Yaya, Mata, Cabaye, Henderson
    Suarez, Ade, Sturraidge

    Subs: Davis, Ramsey, Gabbidon, McNaughton.

Maybe next year this thread could start with the wildcard rules and dates clearly laid out. Would make it easier for people to get info and stop the rest of the thread being clogged up with the same questions over and over.

Or they could actually go check the rules on the FPL website instead of coming on here to be spoonfed information

    Any suggestions?

    Szczesney
    Mertesacker Coleman Bruce Mariappa Baker
    Yaya Ramsey Mata Januzaj Brady
    Suarez Aguero Sturridge.

No Chelsea cover, but hard to work around that

Downgrade Sturridge, you need at least 1 Chelsea player. Really should be Hazard but if not him then Oscar, Cech, Azpilicueta, Willian or Terry would be the ones to look at. I'd go Cech in your situation. Who is your reserve keeper? Anything in the bank?

    Can do a 3-5-2

    Szczesney //Davis
    Mertesacker Coleman Bruce //Mariappa Baker
    Yaya Ramsey Mata Januzaj Hazard
    Suarez Aguero //Mason

    or Januzaj>Brady, Mason>Chamakh
