Thanks for the heads up on that. I was going to come home early tomorrow to be in for the delivery slot - if they're not even bothering to ring to cancel orders then I'm not going to bother and will just cancel it now.

Yeah I got a call today to say my order has been cancelled because of no stock. Oh well!

Wonder if gameslop will have any response to this when they get the thousand copy, this week, of gears of war 3 for trade in

Had to set my delivery for tomorrow evening, as it's the only evening I'd be sure of being home within the delivery windows. Probably going to get a similar cancellation. :(

well if CeX are only giving €3 cash or €4 credit, I imagine Gamestop will offer less anyway, and alot of people will be stuck with them.

Yeah mine was booked for 8-10 pm tonight. Apparently it's not dundrum they deliver from, despite it being literally 2 minutes away. So could be any tesco really.

Ah yes, in years to come, when you're as old as I am, you'll talk in hushed tones of the great Tesco game rush of 2014....

Its a warehouse apparently that the stuff comes from. And by the way thanks for the heads up on this genuinely great deal.
I got 8 games in total in the end:

    - Fire Emblem
    - Mario Tennis
    - 2 Metal Gear Solid
    - Sonic Generations
    - Adventure Time
    - Mario v Donkey Kong March of the Minis
    - Pokemon Gates of something or other

Not a bad haul for €40. Pity I couldn't find a Paper Mario, could have reduced my Amazon basket total a bit.:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 560 ✭✭✭Flaregon

    Found toady, for 15.
    Dragon quest
    Prototype 2
    professor latens lost future.

Not a bad hall, need to trade em for stuff I want lol.

Did you order those on line or find them in a store?

And if you want to get rid of Pokemon gates of something or other let me know!

Got them in the store near where I work and in another one near where I live.
I have an order put in for a few Paper Mario games and I rang them to find out if they were really in stock and was told they were.
That was all the had left.

Swap the pokemon for the Zelda?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

Ah right! Hopefully the order goes through.

Sorry, but Zelda has gone :(

No delivery. No call. Website says delivered. WTF??!!??

Same as mine. I had to ring them about it, then they had to ring me back. When they did, I got the 'order cancelled no stock line" before the line was filled with static & the call was dropped. Awful stuff, & hardly a ringing endorsement for using the online services again. Fair enough if an order gets cancelled, but at least ring the customer & advise...it's the absolute bare minimum that should be done in that case.

I could only see what looked like an international number on their website, so wasn't going to try calling it to get stuck in some waiting list.

They never charged me at least, which I was worried about when they listed it as 'delivered'.

But yeah, doubt I'll be ordering anything off Tesco again.

Mind you, the only Tesco branches that it offered me delivery from was Maynooth and Artane...

Its a freephone number, I checked before calling...pretty good service on the phone, fast & friendly etc...but on the whole I'd be inclined to steer clear

Geography wouldn't be their strong point. I asked them if any of the stores near be do click and collect. Was told clarehall does, I'm in Clare.

I was in CEX today and near enough their entire 3DS range was all the cheap tesco games, all in just out of the plastic condition. No surprise this CEX was in the same shopping centre as a tesco :P

Managed to get the darkness 2 on PS3 for €1 in tesco. I almost finished the first one and thought it was ok so hopefully it's not too bad a game.

Picked up a copy of GTA: London and an Official PSX Demo disc in a charity shop today for the grand total of €4.

They had Tekken 2 and I was just about to buy it until I saw a huge chunk taken out of the under side of the disc.

They also had an original (non audiophile) PS1. Not sure how much they were asking for it.

Sue Ryder Foundation charity shop in Dun Laoghaire if anyone is interested. It needs a bit of a clean though. Can't imagine they're asking for anything more than a tenner for it.

Picked up a new toy earlier:

Totally forgot that they didn't come with a charger. That's a bit of a pain in the arse.

Anyway... anybody got any of those 3DS games knocking about that were going cheap in Tesco earlier?

I was playing some Black Ops 2 on the Wii U for my sins and realised what a pain in the nads the Wii U Pro Controller is, with the sticks in the wrong place, so I wondered I'd some enterprising so and so had made a 360 style controller and it turns out they have.
Only one is available on these shores so I got a Giotek GC2 pad, same as the ones they make for the PS3 but this is for the WiiU.
Only about €18 on Amazon so, looking forward to giving it a whirl.
I've grown so accustomed to the stick/button placement on the 360 pad, can Ninty forgive me?

I really like the look of that Giotek GC2 pad!

    *edit*

    Just placed an order! :-)

They are dumping these for € 39,99 on here with free shipping :

Works pretty nicely with my iPad mini, not with the CAVE games though as they have to support Bleutooth
I just downloaded Plasma Sky and it's awesome, the buttons are a bit stiff but the stick is pretty good .
