I changed the delivery till tomorrow just in case they're sold out.

Currently browsing the site for more bargains :)

Order will probably be cancelled but it's worth a shot. You can have one for a fiver if I manage to get them!

Edit; feck it, threw in 10 Fifa 14s too. :pac:

I'd take a street fighter off you too :P

I'll have a look in tesco dundrum tomorrow and see if there's anything.

Might be worth making a quick account & browsing online. Not sure if the orders will go through but the location seems to vary what you see on the site in terms of available games. If you see a spare Donkey Kong or Kirby's Epic Yarn & are able to, could you grab me a copy of one or both? :)

Yeah I had a look using my tesco account but not much except nintendogs.

I'll keep an eye out for you.

Managed to convince the mother to head over to her local Tesco. It's a big one which usually has a large selection of games :)

Before I logged in, it was showing Kirby for the Wii but once I logged in twas gone. They've added Resident Evil for the 3DS for €5, & a Professor Layton 3DS game for €1

I wonder if they're vanishing does that mean the stock has run out?

Still Fire Emblems, Fifa 14s, Nintendogs, Moshi Monsters and SF IVs on my one under 3DS.

Not sure, I added Kirby to my basket, then it asked me to log in which I did. The site said "checking your nearest Tesco for stock" or something like that, right after I logged in, & voila, nothing. That's why I figured it worked off what was local to you, as set by your address in your Tesco account maybe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

I'm not sure, I've 3 tescos nearby so I don't know where the stock comes from. I'd assume Dundrum as that's the closest.

The fact that it's showing us different things must mean it's location based alright.

No joy from the mother, Tesco Bray don't seem to have any video games in stock at all. Which is fairly baffling as they usually have everything under the sun!

Unless some cheeky member of staff got wise to this and snatched them all up

    .

Happy enough with DK anyway... Well I would have liked Soul Calibur III on PS2 but it was still full price.

A fiver in Cash Encounters on Talbot St as of last Friday.

I bought a DK and Paper Mario (couldn't see Kirby), set the delivery for 10-12 tomorrow morning, so we will see! As o1s1n said Bray don't usually have games so not wholly optimistic anything will arrive.

Right I'm off tesco before they close at 12

Back and all, The big tesco that closes late had 40 copies of gears of War 3 and Mirrors Edge....thats all :(

I'll be down to the Tesco where I saw a load of DS game last week for a look in the morning so hopefully I'll have luck there

I was in the two tescos on Baggot street as well as the one in Ballyfermot, no games at all. I went into the one in Naas on the way home and they had nintendogs, metal gear solid and gears of War on the 360. Loads of copies. Nothing else though.

If anyone can get paper mario please help me out.

And o1s1n I hope your going to play all those FE, should clock up a good few hours.

It's nothing new though, Eirta has been around since 2004, I started going in 2007.
You don't have to be into cosplay, there's other things on, anime screenings, games rooms, game tourneys, trade hall, artist alleys and panels on tons of different stuff depending on the con, Jim often does wrestling panels or if the guest is a voice actor they'll do a panel on voice acting, just examples. Check out the events on the cons pages or ask on their forums.
Some cons like Brocon are actually board game/larping but trying to get the anime scene included.
You could sit there all day doing Street Pass too.

Wow, didnt know it was going a decade strong. Sounds awesome.
Might throw in my to do list!

As seemed inevitable, my online order for Paper Mario and DK was just cancelled as they had no stock. Oh well.

You should, I'm still friends with people I met back in 07, panels at Akumakon were fantastic.
The next one is on is Kaizokucon in UCC at the end of March, I'm friends with most if the staff and it's the first one so I want to support them, some worked on creating Nom Con.

Brocon is on after that in July in Limerick, gotta support my local.

Did they charge you for what wasn't delivered?

No, we get our shopping delivered by tesco every 2 weeks, if they don't have an item you order they don't charge you for it. In fact with the food shopping they will bring an alternate version of the same product with them and if you don't want it you don't take it and aren't charged.

No chance of my getting to a Tesco again today, on duty so :(
Still, I am not entirely horrified by Dirt Showdown though its unlikely I'll ever play much of it.

Currently in tesco dundrum. Skyward sword on the wii incl. the orchestral cd for a fiver. Picked up the last 2 copies so have one up for grabs if anyone wants one.

    Nothing else worthwhile though.

Updating what I got over the xmas period and some stuff I got today:

Sera got me these for Xmas. All from the best anime ever!

    289855.jpg

Got this today, Adventure Time special edition. Not meant to be that great a game but I think I'll get some enjoyment out of it. Love the Beemo case. Got Snakes Revenge and the Lone Ranger which I hadn't heard about. A NES game with Konami on the cover has to be good and apparently it's a great game. All in 60Hz goodness.

    289856.jpg

I also got this, the Ys:Memories of Celceta special edition and it's one of the best special editions I've seen.

Includes the game, high quality cloth map of the Ys world, a nice little compass, pretty hefty and high quality artbook/strategy guide and best of all a three disc CD set featuring a selection of music from the entire Ys series. If you know how good Falcom's music is then you'll know how special this is (Yuzo Koshiro made his name on the series). Also got a load of xmas themed US candy (maybe I shouldn't say candy since it's been trademarked by candy crush saga's publisher  )
