Double check but pretty sure you're entitled to a free test.

From website:

"Ensure that the average lead time for an appointment at an individual test centre is less than three weeks and no greater than four weeks. The customer will be provided with a test free of charge where an appointment cannot be offered within a four week period provided that:

Fancy sandwiches. Bloke in front of me in centra today ordering fancy sanwiches taking about an hour to explain how much coucous he wanted. The only acceptable sandwiches in a republic ought to be cheese or ham. Or cheese AND ham - if you're in a fancy republic. Say France...

Garbage trucks that clang and bang from 6am till 7:30 – not everyone wants to get up at 6.
42⁰ and no air conditioner – I’m in Oz :eek:
People in supermarkets who think they have a right to go before you because they only have 6/10 items, when there is a 12 item cash register two isles down.
Parking fees – Had to buy the car, shouldn’t have to pay for parking.
Neighbours who think its ok to run their stormwater into your yard because they don’t want to spend the money connecting it to the drain, which is a mt away from their outlet.
Spiders – for no particular reason, just because they think my home is theirs.
