It freaks me out and gives me the horrors when i see someone crossing the road against the lights, in traffic while pushing a buggy. I get shudders even thinking about it.

People who sign their rants or any posts for that fact. There really is no need.

Also people who use the first initial of some ones forename in a post. Along the lines of "my god D, you are a grumpy bastard".

Funny you used 'D' - bet you were thinking of A
    :P

Spending Sunday Morning reading logs and threads and making posts in them, then to find that after the 'Boards.ie Scheduled Maintenance' in the afternoon, all the posts are missing.

First post Christmas green bin day morning on what will probably be the windiest night of the year in my part of Dublin anyway. The dogs were kind enough to go crazy, twice, to alert me it was blown over. Good fun walking around the street at 5:30am picking it up. Luckily it was packed so full that only some of the lose stuff at the top got blown around.

Missed opportunity to put on the Garmin and run around collecting the paper and logging it as a training session. ;)

People who are borderline overweight who call yours truly extraordinarily thin/ skinny/ anorexic and have the cheek to put on a pizza at a house party and then hand it to me commenting that I could really do with one! Imagine a person of normal healthy weight handing an overweight person a salad in front of other people. All hell would break loose. Society is messed up! There's a BIG difference between somebody of average weight and somebody of normal weight. The average is overweight!

You notice that the last few runs by the local guy you are stalking on Strava in order to try rob his segments are in the Cayman Islands.

Take the high road. Having excess weight means less endorphins. Unhappy people try to make other unhappy. Simple fact of life.

Those bleeding "unveiled by random TD" plaques you see everywhere. Even on the Dublin mountain way trail. Should we honour the designer? the architect? or the brains behind the whole thing they're opening. Nope, let's honour the chap that cuts the ribbon. It's mental.

The wallies who vote for the ribbon-cutters above.

Emigration. Especially when the person who has to go really doesn't want to go:( Won't see my brother for probably a year if not more when I say goodbye in the morning.
I suppose at least I have a surrogate so all's not lost :)

The fecking truck driver who covered me from head to toe in a wave of water on the partially flooded Marina in Cork last night  If I hadn't been soaked through already from the rain would have really p*ssed me off.

Were you running on the roads up by Lamb Doyles in the dark again? ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,677 ✭✭✭kit3

Cyclists with no lights or hi-viz gear in the dark - you can't be seen. Nearly got a few last night. Was nothing compared to the stupid woman dressed in dark clothes pushing someone in a wheelchair on the road in the back streets of the coombe - very nearly got extra points for them both ! Nerves shot by the time I got home !

    OPERATION TRANSFORMATION.....

Out for a 4 miles today and came across a neighbour who say to me "out for operation transformation?" my reply was "I'm not the one who needs it" earphones back in to keep the steam coming from my ears.
