If they're ones that have been on for a while on the mug that a simple wash won't remove, then I'd leave diluted bleach sitting in them for a few hours. Always worked for me.

best way to remove tea stains..... small drop of fairy liquid and two spoons of sugar. then scrub like mad, rinse and go again till all the stains are off.

Do you have any herbal tea bags? I find that my mug is often tea stained but if I have a fruit tea of the likes and then wash it it's all clean!

I thought you guys were on about something completely different. My mum always says "tea stains" when she's talking about, well... brown streaks in the toilet.

My mum hates swearing, or saying anything remotely gross, so she'd have all sorts of odd terms for stuff that I can't even think of right now.

Damn it, if there's blood stains on the carpet and sofas, we may as well just hire an in house cleaning crew to clean up the nightly destruction that goes on around up in this here thread
