tbh I never saw the big thing with them.. as far as groups like that.. there were better groups, esp before soundcrowd came along.. I seen a programme on tele years ago.. one of the members of soundcrowd were on it.it was about this beginner guy trying to get into the music making business, house etc, the beginners demo was ok, wasn't brilliant, the guy from soundcrowd ripped the piss out of it he was an ignorant prick to the beginner. youd swear he had the success leftfield had or underworld.. I found soundcrowd stuff very basic and its in the name of the group " crowd pleasing" soundcrowd had there day afew years is all.. 95-99 or not even.. I think the main gigs were in that dirty kip called the S.F.X. was never really into mark Kavanagh stuff either. all that tony de vit stuff

I pretty much agree with everything you say there.I was never a huge fan bitd tbh.I'd b more of a fan now lol.I was more into the harder stuff bitd.I've lightened up a bit since. When i listen to there tracks now it brings a smile to my face.So end of the day if it makes u happy it's gotta b a good thing yeah.

Defo there where better acts around at the time.I think it's nice that there home grown tho.And yes there stuff is very basic, simple.Part of the attraction i think. They use samples from lots from other classics in some of there tracks, but i like the way they do it.:D

Oh yes and i also am not a big HH fan

2013... but it sounds more like 1993. I'd love to be hitting the clubs with the whole getting back to the roots buzz going on :pac:

sure does.. coz the early 90s sound will always sell.. electronic music has gotten too advanced.. as in the machines making it and their programs.. too many new ingredients.. sounds better basic and with less
    good track that

Does anyone know if CD Dance Singles are worth anything?

I have thousands of the ****ers and don't know what to do with them!?

Most of it is Progressive house.

They'd be only worth what someone else is willing to pay and at the moment I'd say that wouldn't be that much.

If you had the space I'd put them into boxes and put them up into the attic and maybe in time they'd be worth something. That's what I plan to with a bunch of CD's that I have, and probably with a bunch of vinyl that I know I won't play again but don't have the heart to part with. Maybe in 20 or 30 years from now they might be worth something! :D

It's mad to think that unless it's something really rare it's just as quick to download an alum than to go into another room to get a CD.

Altern8 were awful hoors for ripping off other tunes back in the day. The piano in that tune above is basically this

    A large chunk of Evapor8 (1:17 in)

was just a rip off of Strings of Life

    and this

is just basically this with a breakbeat

Now I know a massive chunk of how dance music originated was based around sampling but some of Altern 8's efforts just seem lazy to me.

I suppose, I've actually started to but some in boxes this evening - listening as i go along. I've got lots of dance albums to. Just did a quick search to see if there where any CD Collectors or rare dance CD's but no joy.:pac:

Here is what i boxed so fare...
