Not very techy but a bell attached to the pointers or setter's collar is effective.

I use a bell on my setters when hunting woodland and new forestry it is just as good I have a bright orange collar on the dogs when the bell stops its easy to find them set .

My wife bought all three in France she thinks.
One of the bell is bronze and stamped France the other two have no marks.
