Sportsshoes.com constantly flashing on every website I'm ever on telling me that the Brooks Green Silence is on sale for £19.99!!! Stop torturing me!!! They're size bloody 3 or 4, and no matter how many times I've checked, my feet are not small enough to fit into them. Leave me alone!!!!!

Also, damn you Mizuno, you shower of a$$holes for discontinuing the Elixir.

That's the charm of Google poking its nose into your bidness. I think there is a way to turn that tracking off in the ads...
And stop going to sportsshoes.com to look at them, you're only torturing yourself. They're gone, let them go :D

Rant: the death of Green Silence. And to be replaced by that desperate Pure range is insult on top of injury.

Seeing as neither of the lads actually live in Tallaght- its more an indictment of the surrounding areas. My first suspect would be some idiot Knockloyn jogger still out on the piss celebrating that one and only win they got the other day- but hey don't let me cast aspirations….

First win in December. Maybe another soon. That's to add to the senior indoor ladies 400m title , and men's indoor masters o35 400m..not forgetting the green irish singlet, and the longford half title (women). We don't really tend to jog down your way unless we want to do an extra fast speed session so we can get in and out quickly.

Do you want us to counter with our list of achievements. It might be a little longer than yours :)

Oh isn't everything just so clearcut in hindsight...:o

In fairness it was in a restaurant that came highly recommended by two of my fellow diners. I'm now being advised by said diners that food poisoning doesn't kick in that quick and that it must have been something else beforehand...yeah right!

One of the lads in the tri forum had prawns before his Ironman.

I once had a microwaveable chicken curry about 90 mins before a 5km race. Was like running with a timebomb.

Rant –My favourite running socks finally gave up the ghost. They were a bit threadbare but finished yesterday’s run with two big holes in either sock. They’re sold out online too (Inov8 winter prosoc.)

On the subject of socks - pulling out my sock drawer to find the OH has taken my last pair (again!). Rumbing around in the laundry basket for socks is no fun:o

Nothing irrational about this. It's perfectly understandable. Throw in Adrian Weckler ("Technology expert") and there are two reasons to not buy the Irisn/Sunday Independent any more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,704 ✭✭✭✭RayCun

the only reason ever to read the Sunday Independent is because your blood pressure is dangerously low
