Wire Antenna Replacement

    Hi All,
I have been given a Bush NE 8050 Micro System which has DAB radio but only a thin wire antenna, which can't even receive FM properly.
How can I replace this with a decent antenna? There are no coax or spade connectors on the rear of the unit.
If possible I would like to use a splitter from my Saorview antenna to receive DAB radio.

(I originally posted in the HI Fi forum, only to find some other poor guy got abuse for mentioning a Bush system there!)

I have a Pure Siesta bedside DAB/FM radio which would be several notches up the ladder from your (yuck!) Bush contraption and all I have is a thin wire antenna which works very well for DAB and FM. You'll need to open up the back of the system to make sure that the wire antenna is connected properly, it's your only option if there's no connectors for a different external antenna.

Don't take the dig at Bush seriously, there's a lot of anal snobs in certain specialised forums.
