    Hey all,
Bought a couple of cans of John Smiths for a friend (t'was up in Tyrone at the weekend), had them in the boot, and whilst coming to work today, one of the cans exploded. Thus there's now a strong smell of beer in the car :(

Does anyone know a good way to clean said beer off the inside boot section of my car?

Cleaning cars is not a topic for the Beers & Wines & Spirits forum.
Maybe the good folks in Lifehacking can help.

Baking soda is great for absorbing smells, spread it out over the area leave it for a good few hours and vacuum it off

Cat litter placed in something porous but contained like (clean)old socks is also great at absorbing odors.

Coffee in a sock works too.
make sure its a clean sock. otherwise your boot might smell of beer, coffee and feet.

I think the use of either a cut onion or a sliced lemon also works.

I'd say first blot out as much of the beer as you possibly can. Then sponge with a solution of white wine vinegar (say about a tablespoon in a litre of warm water, with a squirt of washing up liquid), and then use plain warm water to wash that clearning solution out.

Oops! In my defence, the post before mine was from yesterday.

Washing up liquid and scrub as hard as you can.

Take out fire and theft, gallon of petrol and box of maguire and patterson.
