Fair enough you are entitled to an opinion much as indisagree with that particular one.

The bike in question is not beautiful to anyone who is not blind. I do not believe that anyone could stand over it's beauty in a beautiful bike contest.

To like it ain't enough IMHO - it must have beauty.
There are lots of ordinary things that I like, but I do not consider them beautiful.

Let's rename the thread to Images of the ordinary and some might be beautiful.

I'm not blind yet but beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all.

I've fallen in love with fatbikes lately, here's the Cogburn CB4 hunting bike. I have a bow and even though you cant hunt with it here how cool would it be flying through the countryside on this?

This is just as much a thread for dream bikes as it is for people to put up pics of their own, regardless of what anyone else thinks of them. Everyone is going to see bikes here that aren't beautiful to them, but are beautiful to others.

Like ROK ON and his missus? :pac:

    See? It's all relative!

Edit: I'm not actually suggesting what I'm suggesting before anyone takes offence!

The above is not something that you or indeed anyone else is qualified to say. If someone says they find something beautiful, then it must be so. If they are not telling the truth about the matter, well that's another tale for another thread but your grossly sweeping statement is simply wrong!

Ok guys, let's reign in the chat a tiny bit, these discussions have come up before. Bottom line is everybody is entitled to post their own pride and joy or their dream bike or anything in between.

    More bike pics.

Personaly I find it aesthetically pleasing, I posted it here in good faith so others can have a little glimpse. Couldn't care less if some choose to dislike it . Its my bike and I like it so thats all that matters. I must have some pride in it if I went to the trouble to upload it here.

Signs and things, Harry. That's not a beautiful thing, in my opinion, but is a beautiful sign.

    Harrybelafonte, that's almost very lovely.

...but I don't like the velcro frame pump attachment or the frame pump itself.

This one is good looking and reasonably priced.

...and your brake levers are not vertical, which I find aesthetically objectionable (mine are like that too FWIW).

Also, Marathon Plus tyres are nasty things altogether. Are you going to a warzone?

    Otherwise it's a beaut. :pac:

What would yooooooou know anyway! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and further naivetés!

It may be a clichéd function over form, but if I had to lug all that stuff around I'd pick something like this I feel. The fire extinguisher under the down tube would be excellent for my moments of panic on downhills when I pull the brakes to smoking point.

All valid points, I cannot deny, so what we're saying is maybe a 7/10 could do better.

To me it just reminds me of a modern office buildings.
Technically they are great, lots of windows for natural light, well laid out, perfect form for their function.

    But they aren't exactly beautiful.
