Not that impressed with the Naas card tomorrow, it's usually better. Going to stay at home and watch Grandouet. xxx

Thought it was a serious card tomorrow

Decent enough but last year it was unreal. Jezki, Texas Jack, Ned Buntline. I backed Hisaabaat against Jezki. :o I just want to stay at home and watch Grandouet to be honest.

Minella Foru takes on Very Wood at Navan Sunday. Sanctuaire ducks Flemenstar but Marlbrook & Minsk are in the beginners chase.

Love that Navan meeting. Unfortunately haven't been down there in years. No bloody bumper though. I remember being there when Byrnes mob punted Vintage Treasure off the boards. Proper Larry job on the bookies, left it drift & drift then hammered it minutes before the off

Last time I was racing was a mid week at Leopardstown during the summer. Was there for the Happy Mondays gig after so doesn't count. Think the time before that was Pillar day at Cheltenham in January

Tingle Creek meeting will be my next appearance.

Just thinking, the saddos on other forums meet up for beers so the saddos on here should go racing/boozing some time

FYI flights to Cheltenham in January are 29.98 return. You'd get a hotel in Birmingham for nothing the night before.

Cheltenham sounds like a bit of a hike. We could all head to Dubai World Cup night Emirates fly direct from Dublin

Powers have a few "Season Match Bets" up. Rules are:
Result is settled on 1st time horses meet & bets will be void if they don’t meet in 2013/14 season

4/5 Big Bucks vs 10/11 At Fishers Cross

Barry Geraghty is excited about riding Grandouet over fences in the Crew Clothing Co. Beginners' Chase at Sandown.

Nicky Henderson's classy six-year-old was not far off the very best over timber, but endured a luckless season last term.

He did not run until the International Hurdle at Cheltenham in December, when he was second to Zarkandar, and did not reappear until the Champion Hurdle itself, when he was still going well before falling four out.

His campaign ended when he looked a doubtful stayer in the Aintree Hurdle, and he takes on three rivals on his chasing debut, including classy types Hinterland and Turn Over Sivola.

Speaking on his www.attheraces.com blog, Geraghty said: "We all know how good he is from his official rating of 166 over hurdles and there's been a fair bit of thought about where he would make his debut over fences.

"He had options at Exeter and Warwick earlier in the week, but Sandown is a good track to start a chaser because they learn early on that fences are there to be jumped.

"And as for jumping fences, this lad has schooled over plenty of them and I've been more than pleased with him.

"Not that it should come as a surprise because when he was a four-year-old I was very keen to send him chasing because he was good - just as well we didn't, though, because we'd have missed some good days over hurdles.

"As regards ground he's very flexible and he's still got time on his side at six with a good future ahead of him."

Probably tantamount to sacrilege, but I played Call Of Duty last night for the first time & thought it was garbage. Stick to the sports games from now on.. Missus is heading off to Dublin this afternoon to visit her sister, bringing the kids along with her, I believe it would be rude of me not to take advantage by going out and getting mullered for the day so ;)

Get in some practise for the Tingle Creek!

I'm badly out of shape on the boozing front, may be a suspect stayer come 4 weeks time!

I'll be treating this like a racecourse gallop, just building up to be cherry ripe for 4 weeks time. It won't be a sparkling piece of work, no more than a canter... Barring pilot error of course, which is a distinct possibility :)

I've Zulu Oscar tracked, must be from a stable tour.

Was 20s this morning & I forgot to have a token tenner each way. Money for it now of course....

Rarely do these type of bets but like the look of Sean O'Brien @ 16/1 to be last tryscorer in Ireland game. Starts on the bench but sure to get a run out with 10 or 15 left. Samoans will start with huge ferocity as usual but are likely to tire in the last quarter, which will suit O'Briens barnstorming style. The Tullow Tank will take no mercy and can see poor fuckers bouncing off him as he makes his way towards the try line. :D

    Small bet
