So how is everybody shaping up for this weekend?

I'm happy enough with my team but facing a last minute selection dilemma. I need to leave out one of the following:

    Paulinho vs Newcastle (H)
    Ramsey vs Man. Utd (A)
    Coleman vs Palace (A)

I am leaning towards leaving Ramsey out as I figure his scoring run has to end some time. Any thoughts?

And do people reckon this will be a high scoring week in the game?

No offence and even though I don't have him, its ridiculous to even consider benching Ramsey with the form hes in. At this moment the lad is the top midfielder in the PL this year simple as. So out of those options Id bench Coleman.

Mignolet or Boruc? That is the question... Leaning towards Mignolet this time. Let me do this wrong once again...

    Here's how I line up;

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

    Boruc
    Zabaleta Mertesacker Baker
    Oscar Ramsey Yaya Brady
    Suarez Aguero Rodriguez

That's the team for this week. Still not sure who I'm going to captain. Have it on Aguero now but might switch to Suarez.

Paulinho …not exactly in a free scoring side - spurs have not hit double digits for goals scored for in the premiership - they have been given 3 penalties so far in 10 games -ALSO you never know what Newcastle will turn up.

Ramsey - in the form of his life - granted against a team with reputation but …sitting in mid table - ramsey could have a quiet game but will be a guaranteed starter and minimum 60mins.

Coleman …against Palace - one of the teams in the premier league who are consistent in their conceding goals from attacking sides….depending on your team I would nearly consider captaining Coleman (while its not guaranteed …its almost certainly a clean sheet and bonus points for attacking )

Suarez captain. I've no Ramsey. Let's see how it goes

You might be proved right but this is a bold statement to make about someone who's gone 14 hours without attacking bonus points. In saying that he'd be the first player I'd put in from that three.

If Ramsey scores tomorrow I may consider bringing him in, maybe, but I'll probably talk myself out of it:o:p

Almost certainly? CP are 6/5 to score no goals so maybe you should put some cash down!

had my team picked was going to go 5-2-3, as i reckon all my defenders bar VIdic should get a clean sheet but now not so sure

    Boruc
    Zab Vidic Clyne Terry Dawson
    Oscar Ozil
    Suarez Aguero Benteke

    Subs
    Barkley Morrison Juanzaj

Thinking maybe bring Barkley in for Vidic surely Barkley will do well against Palace and switch to 4-3-3

A reminder that the Fantasy Football Scout Cup kicks off this weekend. You only have to be registered on the site, not a paying member even to enter and there are a few prizes courtesy of Paddypower.

I'll be happy if Barkley starts. Had to take a 4 point hit to bring Silva and and then take him out for Nasri. This week will be a success if I stay where I am. Will need to take a points hit again next week, team has been destroyed by injuries.

A Southampton clean sheet would be huge, I've doubled up on Fonte & Shaw...

    Good luck all

Made the Michu -> Oscar transfer earlier in the week so just had to decide on Captain and Mignolet/Boruc in goals. Went with Suarez captain and Mignolet in goals, as I have Clyne for Southampton defensive cover.

    Mignolet
    Terry - Dawson - Coleman - Clyne
    Oscar - Ramsey - Ozil
    Lukaku - Aguero - Suarez (C)

    Subs: Boruc; Ward-Prowse - Brady - Chester

Could really do with Chester returning and Brady being 100% after the international break, with Spurs and Southampton fixtures toughening I will need the extra options.

Brought in Oscar for Michu. Probably the safer option ahead of Nasri and Hazard.

    Mignolet
    Terry - Lovren - Dawson
    Ozil - Ramsey - Oscar - Ravel
    Aguero - Lukaku - Suarez (c)

Am expecting most of my returns from defense and strikers. Any points from midfield is a bonus.

    Good luck all!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,236 ✭✭✭qwabercd

    Boruc

    Terry Dawson Coleman

    Ravel Ozil Lallana Ramsey

    Aguero Rooney Suarez (c)

Fairly standard team. Would be happy if either ravel or lallana could grab a goal for me. I think a lot of us are expecting clean sheet points this week but there could be a few let downs.

    Besta luck t'yall!

    Mignolet
    Coleman--Lovren--Nastasic--Terry
    Ramsey--Oscar--Nasri

    Suárez--Lukaku--Agüero ----
    Boruc--Brady--Whittaker--Morrison

Ozil, Yaya, Giroud and Sturridge out,
Ramsey, Nasri, Aguero and Suarez in.
Had two free transfers so it was an 8pt hit.

Really praying my 8point hit gets me back in the mix on my private league.
Was top for a few weeks but dropped to second, want to regain the top spot!

Think I've made a big mistake in going for Hazard over Oscar with my transfer for Silva, especially as I think Mourinho may leave him on the bench today, but being honest I was in a rush and never thought of it. Oops!

Anyway, Suarez (C), Aguero and Hazard (hopefully) will be expected to gain the bulk of my points this week. I'm hoping for clean sheets from Mignolet, Terry and Clyne.

I'll be struggling to field a proper team with Nastastic doubtful and Brady very doubtful so I'm not expecting a lot this week to be honest, if I beat the average I'll be happy.

    Good luck :)

Teams are starting to look very similar. We basically have 8 of the same first 11 with the same captain. I crossed out Lovren even though I have Fonte, they should score the same. So it's Oscar/Ramsey/Dawsen vs Shaw/Barkley/Nasri. You are definitely in a better position! My hope rests in Barkley starting, Nasri performing and Southampton keeping a CS. Your team is very reflective of my main rivals in private leagues, especially with the Aguero, Lukaku, Suarez (c) front line.

If ever I needed a quiet week from Ramsey this is it!

Nastasic down as a doubt... tits!

After my -8 last week I was hoping to keep my transfer for the international break but Michu forced my hand into bringing Jonny Howson. The midfield is in dire need of patching up but for this week I'm pretty happy.

    Mignolet
    Turner - Terry - Clyne - Williams
    Howson - Townsend - Ozil
    Rooney - Aguero - Suarez (c)

    subs: AJ, Coleman, Ravel.

Pretty happy with the team going into this week, which is what concerns me :pac:

    Bon chance mes amis

    Terry
    Fonte
    Coleman

    Nasri
    Hazard----Ramsey
    Barkley

    --Benteke
    Giroud
    Sturridge(c)--

    Subs

    Mignolet

    Dawson
    Paulinho
    Shawcross

Always that extra bit of pressure going into the last GW before an international break, if you have a poor week then its a long wait to fix things and you lose all grá for the game.

Before the last international break I scored 33 (-4) for a GW rank of 1.9 million, no repeat of that $hite please team

Brilliant, Ashley Williams is a doubt for Sunday and I find out now.

Don't know how i missed that! I made my transfers last Sunday and have been up to my eyes all week so didn't notice! Hopefully he'll start, playing 4 - 3 - 3 for the first time all season! Morrison to come in if he doesn't end up playing though!
