Nobody (me included) seems to give Luiz a chance of a start this week, I need to shift him now due to his probable scarcity of playing time. I'm wary of doing it with the champs league game. I have Vidic, Vert, Mert and Wilson also. Would Johnson make it worth my while(4 point hit) or is it a risk?

if johnson stays fit(he is a bit injury prone) and liverpool play 3 5 2 he is great value. Looking at the next 5 gws Id say him and Terry are the best two defensive picks.

Yeah I don't like harping on about luck but I don't tend to get much in this game!

I was going to bring in silva too, but I always wait until after midweek games.

It's always a risk to bring in a player before midweek game, so don't think you should feel too sorry for yourself luck-wise!

Ye i took the .1 drop on michu to weigh up my options. Glad I waited as hazard and silva were on my radar. Ive narrowed my michu replacement down to 3 oscar, silva or coutinho but still none the wiser. With the most expensive players in the game bale and rvp(this may change) not being viable options I don't think team value is that important this year.

Not meaning to be pedantic but it's actually three times in seven games he's got under 4 points. A lot of people were won over(FPL wise, I think he's a superb player) by his three assists against Stoke but I pointed out at the time he didn't actually create any of those goals. His two goals against Norwich and that super goal he got in Europe set it off again, I don't think he scores enough goals to justify the price tag, I'd be a lot happier with the Mata of last season or Bale obviously. I know he's got a very good assist record but at Arsenal I see him being more of an assist the assister type of player, especially when he'll have Walcott and Cazorla playing either side of him.
I won't be buying him at that price anyway, he's a 9m player.

Apologies i actually meant to say less then 3 points! even so my point still stands, he has played fewer games then any of the other top scoring mids in the game so far and is close to the top. I completely agree with your comment about having Mata or Bale of last year for their price but this isn't last year and Mata is bizarrely hardly getting his game and Bale fucked off to Spain, in saying that i wonder if Bale hadn't of left how many of us would have him in our squads at 12 mil or whatever it was he initially came in it!

The only person i think is a genuine replacement for Ozil at the moment it perhaps Silva, but i already have Aguero and I also have Oscar so Ramsey and Ozil are the 2 best alternative mids IMO and i have both. Until i see Couthino banging in assists again or Lallana running amok or another dark horse start to rack up points in the same manner as Ozil i wont be moving him anywhere!

Forced into swapping Nasri in for Silva. Had planned on saving my transfer this week. So much for planning :(

Ditto but we can be thankful we had a free transfer.

strongest team of the year so far for me this week hopefully it translates into points.
    Boruc
    Dawson Terry Johnson
    Arnie townsend coutinho ozil
    aguero lukaku suarez(C)
Have the luxury of benching barkley and clyne aswell.
3 liverpool players is a risk but fulham have looked really poor of late and Im hoping liverpool stick with 3 5 2 which will give coutinho a free role and johnson a huge attacking threat. I also fancy arnie away at swansea as they had to fly to and from russia midweek.
Picked coutinho over oscar in what was a very marginal decision as Im hoping chelsea are a bit sluggish after playing wed night .

Giroud or Rooney for the game Sunday? Both had quiet midweeks so Im torn. Already have Ozil and Ramsay and have no United attacking cover so might just pull the trigger on Giroud to Rooney. Other two forwards are Suarez and Aguero

Today,Sky went over the stats of Wenger's results at OT,they conceded 38 goals & scored 14.

Any more info on Brady lads, I know he's down as 50/50. Think he'll play?

    Right lads,
Michu goes tonight for me, but who to bring in?

    Nasri, Hazard or Oscar.

Nasri maybe because Silva's out for a month; i doubt many have Nasri so he could be a good differential. 2nd Oscar

I would put Hazard,Nasri,Oscar in that order if that helps any bit...

Nasri was never the same after he left Arsenal, like Van Persie:P

I've gone for Hazard given the same choice, slightly favoured him over Oscar, Nasri would wreck my head.

I dunno why but I feel like Oscar is gonna have a great week--though my belief isn't enough to swap Ozil for him. :D

Would you start Ravel, AJ or Arnie?

Arnie all day long, he is in form and i would trust him more than Ravel and Januzaj is expected to start but one cannot be sure.

In fairness, this season is different to most others. Arsenal are playing with confidence and look assured, United are the opposite.

Still, a win on Sunday for United wouldn't surprise me but it would be going against the form book.

Which 2 to play from Townsend (home Newcastle), Ozil (away United), AJ (home Arsenal) and Coleman (away Palace)?

Currently I've got them in that order with the latter 2 on the bench but nervous about leaving Coleman out but 5 at the back seems a bit gameweek 3 :pac:

I'd go for AJ there. Has the home game, didn't start midweek but a doubt as to whether he'll start such a big game. A risk I'd take from those 3, he's currently my 1st sub.

In my humble opinion I think Norwich will have a good chance of a shut out, Ravel's my 3rd sub and Swansea away could be another 0-0.

I've been looking at both Hazard and Nasri (even before Silva was injured). I needed to shiftget rid of Michu myself and went for Jonny Howson :pac:

If he doesn't do anything I'll look more ridiculous than normal with the amount of coverage I've given him. Not that this answers your question at all.

Thanks to both yee, i think i have ruled out AJ in my head because im an Arsenal fan and no way want to be cheering for a united player :pac: Think ill go Arnie because he is most likely to score but Swansea away is such a tough place to travel, decisions decisions, life of a fantasy football manager :D

More likely to happen next game week I would have thought because Zabaleta will be away with Argentina for two weeks.

I can't see Pellegrini resting a player only to send him away on international duty.

forgot about the internationals. your point makes sense, in he goes so

    +1 for me Mr. P.

Also playing 5 at the back in the hope of clean sheets is utterly joyless for me, new bonus points system be damned!

Which one to leave out of the following: Nastasic (Sunderland away) doubt, Chico (Stoke home), Townsend (Newcastle home) or Arnautovic (Swansea away)?

Sunderland could easily score so I'd say Nas, especially if he's doubtful. Although you have a conflict of interest with Chico and Arnie
