new clutch, timing belt, front pads and oil change. 5 months test, 2 months tax. won't set your world on fire but it will give you years of trouble free usage. €800 asking.

Yet another failed attempt at hiding the reg...99-mo-1302.

Why people feel they need to do it I'll never understand. Story for another thread and has already being discussed elsewhere.

Still, nice find for the money. They are a lot nippier than the 1.3 litre engine might suggest

admittedly a nice bit of work done and a new NCT, but its a mad price, you'd get an st205 for not much more. also they have cunningly disguised on the photos how the whole dash is painted gloss white.
!!!Extreamly Fast And Powefull 170 BHP 2 Lt Non Turbo!!!

sorry to tear it to shreds, it has some merits for sure but not bangernomics imo. half the current asking price would be closer to reality.

I'd have to agree with Toyotafanboi that the Celica is not great bangernomics material. It has a years NCT on it but the mileage is approaching 180k miles which is on the high side. The asking price is pretty strong considering but what really puts me off is that it has being scangerised badly enough. Thats all coming from somebody who is a fan of celicas whatever the mark.

Great find with the Fiesta though. 1.3 litres probably not as desirable as the 1.25 but I wouldn't let that put me off. Its just after passing the NCT apparently and 7 months motor tax. It looks well clean. All this with an asking price of €525 make for an excellent find...

Probably a little bit pricey, but its the 1.6 16v model so has a bit of power compared to the 1.4, NCT until September 2014

Even at €1,450 this is a bargain in my eyes. A decent amount of NCT, new-ish in most people's eyes so you could impress the neighbors

Renault used that themselves when the car was new.

    This too shall pass.

They still look relatively fresh in fairness alright. Out of curiosity anyone know what they're like on juice. That body does look pretty heavy for a 1.3 litre engine to haul around

Jeepers, would have thought that was a little on the politically incorrect side for a mainstream car manufacturer to do, even 10/11 years ago

Quite likely has being sold. If they are priced very well they won't hang around too long

Have to say I always like them. Don't like the interior much, but I liked the outside especially in 3 door as it was so different from everything else on the road.

And as an avowed ass addict i always loved the ads. :)

Yup. Its an old car, there are hundreds been broken for parts in Ireland and the UK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,903 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

as long as there is demand parts will remain available i'm sure. 95% of parts are still plentiful for Rover/ MG :)

1.25 Zetecs are going up in price due being the ones needed for the Fiesta racing class. So 1.3's will be a lot better value in the future.

That's a great deal for that Alfa. Spent a good hour last night looking at 05+ GT JTDs. Mother of christ, absolute beauties.

    mk2 MR2 - 3SGE engined (Bullet proof)

These are getting cheaper and cheaper by the day - looks fresh enough:

Added bonus being an anniversery model (should have bilstein suspension) - €750

    No mention of NCT/Tax however

Focus with a little bit more schnell.

    Long tax and NCT.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/ford-focus/5675915 €1950

Room for manoeuvring on price no doubt.

Always worked better as a 3 door I think - doesn't the 1.6 come with more toys as well*

The part operation was actually separate to the main MG Rover organisation at the time Rover went burst - they actually sold the parts operation about a year before.

Xpart was the name of the Rover parts operation after it was sold I believe

Rimmor Bros in the Uk (think that's the name) in the Uk do bits for Rovers and the like but im not sure what they do on the modern side of things like 25s 45s and ZS and ZT

Too good to be true? Seems a great runabout for the price.

    But from motor tax online:
Purchased by a dealer on 26-10-13
Might be nothing to worry about and just a private dealer trying to make a quick buck, but could be a reason why he's getting rid too.
