    Hey,
I'm RomaSuck Raiders. Looking to upgrade at WR position. I've Cam Newton, Ryan Tannehill, Steven Ridley and possibly even Geo Bernard that I'm willing to let go.
    Anyone interested?

My Cousin Vince here. I'd be interested in Ridley. I'd be prepared to let any of the following WR's go:

    Alshon Jeffery
    Terrance Williams
    Julian Edelman
    Ted Ginn Jr
    Brian Hartline
    Roddy White

So, anyone I have bar Blackmon. :P

Mmm not sure. The guys you have are kind of similar to the 4/5 guys I already have. I'll see what else I can make happen this week. I may be back :)

No worries, on paper I actually think your WR corp is much better but most of them aint performing. Mike Wallace and Jones esp.

Hartline has outperformed Wallace and Jeffery is a very good WR2. He blew up a couple of weeks in a row when Marshall was being double covered, then last week when Marshal was left he had a big week, so I'd say you'll see Jeffery getting more looks now that Marshall will be back to double coverage again! ;)

Ya I'd agree. Happy enough with those 2. Had Wallace since the draft and picked up Jones off waivers when he was injured so hopefully they can start to become consistent.
I'm looking to upgrade because with McCoy, Bernard & Ridley I have 3 RB's who will probably all be top 20 fantasy RB's by the end of season. It's a shame to let one of them on the bench each week when I could use one of them to get a WR upgrade.

How does the waiver wire work I thought players were on the wire from thurs through to the following wed? But I saw some players were taken from the wire in our league on Sunday night?

You can take free agents at any time pretty much.

Won by about two points over Disco Ninjas last week. Thought I was fine going to bed last night, only needing Cruz to pick up three points for the win which seemed easy enough, but he only barely scraped over the line in the end. But a win is a win. Pretty happy to get it while I can actually (especially having DROPPED the Ravens D for the Browns and picking a princely ZERO points from them), up against the 5-2 Expendables this week and both my starting running backs and a starting WR are on byes, so I'm not expecting much tbh.

The connacht division is ridiculously tight, I'm basil villains sitting in 2nd place on 6-1. I'm up against chronic bitchface next and projected to win. Megathron, Graham and Moreno have been performing wonders for me.

Is it just the top of each division that progress?

The playoffs work something like this (correct me if I'm wrong):

The two teams that top their division with the best record receive a bye.
The two remaining teams that top their division play against the two best second place finishers in a quarter finals.
The winners of those quarters go on to face the teams that got a bye.

Connacht is pretty crazy alright. If it ended today I'd get a bye into the semis, but wouldn't even make the playoffs if I was in Connacht.

Still, that kind of thing is what makes this structure really good. However bad you're doing, there's a good chance, right up to the end, that you could sneak in. And also if you are doing well at this stage, you just can't get complacent. "Doing well" is a relative term. You could be top of the Ulster division with a record that would leave you bottom of the Connacht one.

It's damn tight in Connacht, I should go 7-1 this week if projections are anything to go by, but I've been screwed over by them many times before :pac:

I'm screwed week 9 though Peyton, Gore and Welker all on byes.

To hell or to Connacht eh? :)

Anyone interested in Geovanni Bernard? I'm still looking for a WR upgrade.

To be honest I am jammy out to be 5-2, think I have the second lowest points total in the division so you have a better chance than you think!

I'm resigned to a defeat this week, gona be impossible without Peyton, Gore and Welker.

I also slept in last week and missed the decent receivers on the waiver wire :pac:

I'm Chronic Bitchface and my team has been decimated by injuries.

Vick, Cutler, Julio Jones, a rather poor draft in hindsight given the way the season has played out...

4-0 seems like such a loooong time ago as I now stare at 4-5 after this week!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,099 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

This is humiliating. I'm ten points down to a team that is clearly inactive, has two players on bye week's and another on IR. Jesus...

Need James Jones to get 7 yards tonight in an epic match against FastFullBack, come on JJ!

God damn Casey Keenum. Went to bed last night 29 points clear after an epic 4th quarter from Ridley & Dobson. I thought he might pickup 10 but 28 points. My god.
Praying now that James Jones is inactive but that's looking doubtful.

Ha! Hilton had a stronger thanks to reggies injury and he pulled it out of the bag for me in the fourth quarter. Still top of my division after a nearly disastrous week

I know the feeling, I turned off the TV in disgust after Dobson's 81yd TD. I was 50/50 between Foles & Keenum during the week to cover the bye planning to drop them after a week but guess I'll hang on to him now. Also dodged a bullet with Riley Cooper and Bernard to a lesser extent!

At least I went down in an epic

In an epic battle between this week's two highest-scoring teams, The Expendables overcame a 0.66 deficit on Monday night to barely get past RomaSuck Raiders, 122.90 - 121.86. This is the most a team has scored this season without getting a victory. The loss drops RomaSuck Raiders to 4-5 (9th place) and ends their three-game win streak. The Expendables (7-2) is in third place, averaging 85.32 points per game. The final score was unexpected given that The Expendables was only expected to score 65.68 points and RomaSuck Raiders was projected to score 91.16 points. Zac Stacy (127 Rsh Yds, 51 Rec Yds, 2 TD) got 29.80 points to score 79.5% more than projected (16.60) to lead The Expendables. RomaSuck Raiders was led by Aaron Dobson (130 Rec Yds, 2 TD), who put up 25.00 points, and Stevan Ridley (115 Rsh Yds, 2 TD), who finished with 22.40. That pair topped their scoring projections by 331.0% and 166.7%, respectively.

I think I lost in WK 5 to a team that had RG3 starting even though he was on a bye! To be fair though Gabbert was on the bench so RG3 was probably the safer bet!

    First trade :D

RomaSuck Raiders wants - Chimi Changas

    Eric Decker - Giovanni Bernard

Sounds fair to me, got my blessing.

The four top teams are now in the same division, it will go right down to the wire, I'm in 2nd in that division at the moment but it will be some struggle to make a playoff spot.

How exactly do the playoff's work. Top of each division plus next best 2 teams?

Click on league, then click playoffs, it will show how and who currently holds the positions.

I play you next week and My Cousin Vince the following week, those fixtures could potentially blow our division even further open :pac:

Second trade in the works, folks.

I'm trading away Matt Forte in exchange for LeSean McCoy. Just approved it yesterday.

I've already lost six in a row, figured it might be time to shake things up. They're pretty much even value numbers wise, anyway.

Had a bad loss to Old Irish Patriot at the weekend, which I fully expected no matter what way things had shaken out (seriously how did you draft Manning, Peterson and Welker on one team?).

But more importantly I think my winning days could be numbered since Arian Foster is out. Might be in the market to trade for a RB if anyone is interested? (Vincent Jackson is not on the table btw, unless you are trading the likes of Peterson maybe)

If I was to let Peterson go I'd need a WR and a decent RB replacement for him, would take a pretty solid offer for me to let him go. WR is my only real weakness, apart from maybe Gonzales who has decided not to show up :pac:
