So called in to Gamestop this morning about bundles.

They only had one left - PS4 + KZ for 440.

I took it, but would have been nice to have gotten a call earlier on for potentially other options. Was hoping for the KZ/controller/camera bundle.

Just looking at my receipt now, strangely it says 'PS4 500GB Knack BD HW' - but he wrote in Killzone beside my name on the list :/

Sorry, looking back on that, WK:C was a used game which they do not charge shipping for, it is 5 euro per item you get.

    Intresting...

I've just been to talk to the hardware manager in my local Tesco . I asked him if Tesco would be getting launch consoles. He then spoke to the store manager who told him that he was attending a meeting at the end of this week about how to allocate the consoles to Tesco stores in Ireland.

The hardware manager told me that he will know (more than likely) by next monday how many consoles his shop will be getting and he should have them on the system by then. The larger stores will get more stock.

Now, going by what has been going on with other large retailers . Tesco will more than likely be getting the bundle consoles as the solus ones seem to be hard to get now.

USE THIS INFO WISELY... Its a bit of handy backup info ,just in case yours falls through.

Get in touch with your local Tesco stores and suss it out .

    ;).

Stupid, stupid, stupid me. I put off pre-ordering until now thinking there would be a second round of stock post-launch. Just checked now and it looks like there's no hope of any until next year.

If any kind soul wants to give me a Christmas present of a PS4, I promise to reciprocate with a bundle of cash as a present, coincidentally equal to the price of a new PS4..........

I still haven't given up hope of there being some small, poky, dusty games store somewhere here in Cork that everyone forgets, which still has the available stock for launch day. :)

Go to Argos at like 5am on Launch day and sit it out. You will get one. Umbrella, warm clothes and 2 movies on your smartphone and the time will fly!!

Gamesnash.ie have started accepting 'Interest' orders for PS4 and Xbox Ones. They are trying to source day one and 2nd batch consoles. If you put your name down, they will contact you if they source them and give you an option to buy. If you change your mind, they will move to the next person on the list. I was gonna preorder in HMV but put my name down for a Gamesnash release instead.

Unless they put them on the sire from midnight as soon as it launches, you reserve one then go and pick it up when you like. I have no idea how their system works though.

    Cool.

Anyone know where I can pre-order a shotgun? Oh, also an umbrella, warm clothes, some movies and a deckchar?

Actually, with enough ammo and a lot of smug pre-orderers wandering around, I wouldn't even need a PS4... ;)

Been reading post by a few Amazon UK customers, the orders will likely be updated sometime before or on the 11th November.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 377 ✭✭Zith

Was on web chat to amazon.co.uk today about my pre-order. Ordered 2nd Oct, subsequently submitted my bundle preference for the mega pack. No sign of any change in my amazon order since. Guy on chat said not to worry, will have before Christmas (knew that) and that bundle order will be updated on or before the 11th November.

Emailed Argos a while back on pre-orders and how many will the stores have at launch:
    Reply:
I can confirm that, we are no longer selling the Playstation 4 on pre-order, and I do apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

Also, we were selling the bundles aswell, however we are now no longer selling these either.

I am unable to confirm the exact quantity each store will recieve.

Read a rumour that retailers are having a hard time filling solo PS4 orders, and considering Sony just added another bundle to replace the watchdog one and the whole host of other bundles it seems like it might be true. Also added to the difficulty that Amazon are having with the bundles now.

If it is then if you got a bundle order in late you might have a better chance of getting it on launch than someone who ordered a solo PS4.

It looks like this is the case, but its a bit strange seeing that the bundles were not new stock, just a upgraded version of the existing stock.

    What problem are amazon having?

Gamestop in Wilton, Cork ringing people on the list offering bundles now I am told.

    What problem are amazon having?

They're having trouble sorting out the choices for the bundles they offered a while ago, the choices were in by the 23th Oct and it was meant to be settled by the 4th but it's looking like it'll be decided by nextweek from what they're telling people.

They might but people who didn't order a bundle might get nothing and have to wait.
