Cheers bud. Since I got Aguero in for GW 7 I've jumped from 350,000 to 90,000. Captain working out the last few weeks as helped as well.

Have been downgrading my defensce the last week or 2. Will wait til International break and sort out Mig, Coleman & Whittaker. Also need to see if I will get Ramsey in. Like many others I am staunch in my avoidance so far!

I wouldn't see Mig or Coleman as huge problems tbh. Coleman has clean sheets in his last two.

I'd be saving a transfer to keep it stockpiled ahead of Christmas with a team like that.

I find it slightly odd that AJ has picked up 30k in transfers so far this GW, I know Michu's part of the cause but I was thinking AJ was very much dispensable. I'm not complaining though and I'll be laughing all the way to the bank if it continues.

Id imagine its because he plays for Utd and a huge % of the people playing this game are Utd fans. In one of my mini leagues all my utd supporting friends have him.

Anyone who STILL doesnt have Ramsey is a fool!! Think i'm gonna get in Vertonghen for the disaster that has been Rafael. Pricey but he's getting forward a ridiculous amount since moved to lb. Fairly confident barring injury he'll finish the season as highest scoring fpl defender

His price is just too good to ignore.

Himself and Brady are must haves as cheapie midfielders.

Ramsey, Ozil, Yaya are my main men though.

I was going to sell Michu for Ramsey but I've 3 Arsenal players already (Mertesacker, Ozil and Giroud) so thats out.

I'm 0.1 short for Oscar so I'm thinking I'll get Gerrard in for Michu.

What's the latest on Michus injury? Off-load but not sure whether for a Chelsea mid or Silva.

Injury, or not, it looks like everyone is getting rid of him. Oscar, Hazard. Toure and Silva are all good substitutes. Silva is at the end of my list, but still good option. I got Oscar meself this week, so steer clear of him:D

Ramsey in for next week, anyone who STILL has Ramsey is a fool!
Jokes aside, Verthongen was very active this weekend, but Spurs are so poor when it comes to goals. This is the last team I would put my bet to score more than 1 in any game. He is a good candidate for bonus points too however, providing they keep a clean sheet. Had him last season, and always enjoyed him playing, but the price to have him for long was to high imo.

He'll possibly also go to cb when Rose returns.

I would of thought so. I think it is more against the top sides that he will be wary of playing it. At home to Fulham, I would be very suprised if he didn't.

Im going to be a fool for another week atleast. I stayed away from ramsey initially as I didnt think it would last, then I stayed away as I wanted to go with walcott when he returned from injury( which never happened), then I stayed away as I felt he would get a rest( which he did but still came on and ran amok), then I stayed away as I thought he would get another rest( flamini then got injured). Now Im staying away until he gets a 2 pointer which I will be able to celebrate like a goal as Ill know myself and another 4-5 lads in here are the only fools left in the world without him. Then Ill get him in and he will get rested which will just reinforce the fact I am a fool.

I'm one of those!! The more I think about not having him the crazier it sounds.
I never in a million years saw him go on a run like he has done. But sure it won't last much longer.......:D::rolleyes:

Any tips who I can bring in for Whittaker?

    Current defenders are:
    Terry
    Coleman
    Nastasic
    Clyne
    Whittaker?

I was thinking Dawson but he has City away and United at home in his next 3 fixtures. I was thinking maybe a West Brom defender? McAuley/Ridgewell?

    Any opinions?

How much have you got in the bank (presumeably at least 1.3 if you can afford Whit to Dawson)

I think its us two, swiper, mr prodston and rory c at this stage. Last man out turn off the lights:)

  • Another non-Ramsey player here.

Not a fan of his over achievement.

I'm feeling the same about Yaya tbh. He's not giving the same returns as Ramsey but he's giving better returns that most midfielders and I keep thinking it'll end but then he scores again.

atleast yaya is 9.5 so that softens the blow a bit. He has turned into a free kick king all of a sudden.

    1.9

What's your team looking like now?

    Mine is:

    Mignolet
    Coleman Shaw Zabaleta Terry
    Ramsey Oscar Ozil
    Suarez Aguero Lukaku

Harper the hero, Clyne, Barkley, Brady.
1.2 million in the bank. Transfer this week was Giroud to Lukaku. Team value is 106.2 so essentially 107.4 million. It was up around 108 million but I've a few lads are starting to drop.
Playing 4-3-3 this week because I think there's more chance of Coleman getting attacking points/clean sheet than Barkley or Brady.

Any changes you can see for future weeks?

I've taken 5 transfer hits so far so I'm trying to avoid them now. The last one particularly irked me because I took a hit to get Aguero in, he was then injured and took another hit to change him for Suarez.

McAuley could be a good bet as their run of games is alright or maybe a West Ham defender (I went with Reid this week).

Thanks. I was actually thinking Reid too. It'll probably be him or McAuley. I'll weigh up both their fixtures and see then.

West Ham have 6 clean sheets in 10 league games. Great record.
West Brom have 4, but McAuley has 2 goals!!

Ridgewell also an option at jusy 5.0m
    Really tempted by Reid though.

Lot of similarities with my team. Wish I had Harper though! Thinking of making him my FT next week and keep rotating him and Mig for a while. Also I shipped Coleman 2 weeks ago, yes thats right, just before his 2 clean sheets in a row and Palace next.

Re your team obviously I thinks its ingenious! I'd be looking at cashing in on Barkley soon, maybe get Januzaj. I have Townsend and thinking of that change soon. Also Id get rid of the double Southampton defence with their fixtures tightening up big time after this week. Rat, McAuley etc, or get back onto Spurs defence after GW14 or so.

I'll probably go Ozil to Walcott when hes fit and back in team too.

I may, and I stress may, consider him in the next 2GWs if Ozil doesn't pull up his socks. I ain't got time for 10.5 net value worth of midfielder scoring sporadic returns when Ramsey can return sporadic returns at the low, low price of 7.1.

It's funny because I actually like him as a player and thought he was doing much better than people gave him credit for last year. I was actually at the Emirates in May and he scored against Wigan and the crowd were sarcastically jeering him when he scored. However I didn't see this coming and I still believe that he will chill out soon enough.

What I need to decide is Ozil and one other expensive mid or Ramsey and 2 expensive mids the way to go. It's probably a toss up between Hazard, Silva and Coutinho for 1-2 slots.

Yaya and his freekicks are very annoying too. I think I'll be looking at ditching Townsend soon, maybe. I'll thank him for his goal and price rises but unless Spurs step up their goal scoring bigtime then I have no place for him. It's either him or AJ and I get 1.0 more for ditching Andros.

Not that I'm making any more transfers this week and a lot can happen between now and the end of the international break :pac:

The max number of defenders I'll ever play is 4, most weeks 3, so the second Saints defender is just to avail of price rises mainly. I needed a replacement for Whittaker so Clyne suited for a few weeks.

I was planning on shipping Coleman out next but I think I'll hold onto him for now. The key transfer I'd be looking at is Barkley out for someone or Oscar out for someone like Silva if he doesn't give returns this weekend.

Have a front line of Giroud, Rooney and Sturridge
Really want Aguero though. Am I mad to sell Rooney for Aguero ???
