See what you get when you ask nicely? :D

Big thanks to Conmaicne Mara for taking up the running on getting the forum created.

We'll be rummaging back through the F&F/Smallholding forums for 'Sheep' threads and moving them here, so the place doesn't look so bare.
If you see a thread elsewhere that might be better suited here, or if we move something here that isn't suited to here, give a shout and we'll sort it out.

Have at it with the Sheeptalk! :D

Great news, thanks to the mods and admins and also a big thanks to Conmaicne Mara....

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message, however a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

    Well done CM :)
We haven't kept sheep for many years due to dog problems and neighbours  but I enjoy reading the posts and it is much easier to follow a single forum.
Thanks to Timfy for the photo. It would brighten anyone's day :D

Hi, all this is my first post.

New to Boards.ie, and computers in general, so go easy on me

But this is a great community and resource to have and should be useful

Already found some useful info on dosing gun spare parts which meant I didn't need to ask same question again.

Buy a bag of Lamlac or some equivalent power milk for lambs and read the instruction's. Normally about 200ml 2/4 times a day. You can buy a feeding dummy on most hardwear stores and connect it to a regular water bottle etc....And also introduce them to lamb pellets after 1 week. Once the lambs start to eat sufficient amounts of lamb pellets and grass you can reduce the feeding to once a day and finally stop feeding altogether.

I’d be hoping marathons pet lambs no longer need feeding ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
