iPad cellular US

    Apologies if there is an existing thread on this, did some searches but couldn't find anything.

    So my question is this really, if one purchased a cellular iPad in the US would there be any issues using an Irish 3g sim card from mobile broadband in it?

    I assume no but just thought i'd see if the wider audience has any experience of such a scenario.

    Which iPad?
    For the iPad Air at least there is only one celluar model number now, so it should work fine everywhere.

    The short answer to this is no, there will be no problem.

    All of the Cellular models on the Apple website will work just fine using 3G network. 4G will also work just fine in Ireland with the latest iPad Air, and iPad mini with Retina display.

    Just a word of caution though, your warranty will not cover you in Ireland.Only non mobile devices are covered under worldwide warranty, so Macs iPods, etc.
