Ive recently been diagnosed with diabetes and am in leaving cert year. I was just wondering, is there a way you can gain extra marks if needed if you have a long-term illness?

Hey, I was in your exact situation 3 years ago when I was diagnosed during my Leaving Cert year.
There isn't a way of gaining extra points, but people who have long term illnesses should apply to DARE (Disability Access Route to Education)
    http://www.accesscollege.ie/dare/
"DARE is for school leavers who have the ability to benefit from and succeed in higher education but who may not be able to meet the points for their preferred course due to the impact of their disability."

    Good Luck! :)
