I have a Grand Prix HDTV combi Receiver HDS 860ci
As some channels were saying 'rescan' my son decided to trythis and in doing so lost all channels. He has no idea how to get them back. Can anyone help please ?

What type of aerial are you using, indoor/outdoor? Many of the problems reported here have been aerial related.

Is there a factory reset option in the menu, if so try that and use Ireland as the country during the reinstall process.

I have a satallite dish. We tried using the factory setting option, but it does not give Ireland (or UK) as an option.

Is this a satellite receiver only? If so you should post the query over in the satellite forum, this is the terrestrial (aerial) forum.

No need to post a duplicate thread in satellite. Your receiver is a combi & would I be right in thinking the channels calling for a rescan were RTE via Saorview from a terrestrial aerial? You had RTE 1 & 2, TV3, 3e, TG4 etc.?
