Hoods at commencements.

Hi, maybe this is the wrong place to ask this so apologies if it is.

I'm graduating shortly and have booked my gown and hood. But then I realised that most of the people who will be at my commencement are from science courses where as I'm from arts (I couldn't make my scheduled one). Will the rental company have the appropriate hood with them or do I have to contact them myself?

I think that the normal science degree is a BA. If you are worried why don't you call them?

IIRC you have to enter what course you are in when you book the gown and hood?

The gowns guys know what to do, all you have to do is specify your course on the form and they will kit you out on the day, the hood is not worn as a hood anyway.

You're probably all going to get a B.A. (Mod.) anyway so it's irrelevant.
