I have an app on my mac which just won't open. It launches to the dock, but won't go any further than that & I end up having to force quit out of it.

Is there anything I can do to get it to open ? I've tried deleting it & redownloading from the app store (paid app). It's supposed to sync with icloud & I'm wondering as this is a new mac, that detail wouldn't be in it yet (because I haven't been able to open it). But surely it should just open to a blank/empty install until I tell it where to pull it's data from ?

I have that app as well. Never had any issues with it.

    I assume you’ve tried restarting?

Is iCloud enabled? Check in System Prefs > iCloud. If it is, try temporally disabling Documents & Data. You’ll get a warning about data being deleted. Say yes.

Yeah, never had any issues before & it's working grand on my MBA & iPhone, just this new mac that the issues are there.

    Will try those

Edit: Just remembered, it's backing up to dropbox as recommended (over icloud) by the developer

Try re-enabling now and see if it still works. You’ll need it on for other apps.

All good now. Was confusing the hell out of me because I have an issue with another app (iFlicks), which I can't get sorted & I thought I'd got a Monday morning imac
