Problems with mcafee

    Not sure if I should post this here or not, but anyway.
    I bought a new acer aspire e1-571 a week ago, and yesterday after a mcafee update I couldn't connect to the internet. The wifi was showing up as connected, but none of my browsers would load. This wasn't a problem with the modem either as I tried other wifi spots with no success, and other devices connected to it just fine. After trying various fixes, I removed the mcafee program, and afterwards the internet worked just fine. Not sure what to do now, as I'm sure it's not wise to have no anti-virus software installed, any advice?
