I wonder if they mean that none of the windows open?
Shouldnt be a difficult fix although I imagine it would be about 100e a side?

I'd be very sceptical of that ad.
First off that picture seems to have been taken in Poland (I could be completely wrong here) but the wife's parents live near these types of garages which are very popular next to old tower blocks.
Another is that its obviously been taken in the winter.
I'd also wager that that car is LHD, if I zoom in enough I can see a slight outline of the binacle on the left side and also the rear number plate (even though the numbers have been covered) doesnt seem to have the blue part of the number plate (the EU stars plus IRL underneath)
For me the conclusion, stay away

Sorry lads only new to posting up cars in here. I was sceptical why there was only a pic of the back of the car and I never even noticed the snow :o Not the best pick for my first post linking to a bangernomics car.

Yeah I should have been clearer, where the fog light is at first glance with the silver surrounding on it, I thought someone put a massive exhaust on it :)
    My bad :)

    It's sold now anyway

Oh phew :D if you look just to the right, at the bottom of the bumper you can see the very small tip of the exhaust

I'm entering the bangernomics arena for the first time and would appreciate any advice or suggestions? Already learnt alot from the great posts across the motoring forum and this thread.

I'm looking out for something to carry ski gear to France for the winter, and would like some resale value in 6 months if possible. I'll need winter tires so their a bonus but could just buy some out there. Diesel can freeze in the cold winter, so petrol and 4wd are all nice excuses to try some more luxury class bangernomics. see my last option...

Tempted to go view this, low mileage, economical. Would get it for 750 according to a phonecall. Says he'd hold onto it rather than sell for less than that.

e450 bargain? Higher tax, lower resale value. 4new winter tires worth more than the car maybe? Gamble that it'll get as far as France without needing parts? He's just dropped the price to sell.

1250? wow. I don't think I have the balls to buy this though... hard to sell after. High tax

Honestly I'd go for the Jag. I think the Jag would also sell again for near enough that price. Plus picture this:

Parking at the foot of the Alps in that silver Jag with a nice V6 under the bonnet or.......

Parking at the foot of the Alps in a 1994 cow **** green coloured Ford Escort 1.4 SW.

I know which one I'd go for.

I do see though that the person says its NCT'd till the 5/14 but actually its the 7/14 ;)
Knock 150e off the price and you're laughing

That jag could well be 4x4, the early ones were because the marketing dept didn't want a FWD only, car at launch .

2.1 were FWD and the diesels too.
    2.5 AWD.

Audi A6 1.8T with NCT until 514 for €695. Could easily be bought for €600.

One of the points that attracted me to them. About the highest BHP you can get for 2l tax within a bangernomics budget. It's also a very strong and proven engine and of course has 5 cylinders :)

Only spotted your message now Unkel. Thanks a million. Ya couldn't let a bargain like that slip. Have it 4 days now and nothing but good reports so far. Looking forward to many miles of powerful and comfy motoring :D
