Xtravisions official line. (from head office anyway) is that they'll be contacting people who preordered the 1st wave of consoles towards the end of the month to offer them bundles.

I don't know why or how some stores have already moved some customers on to bundles but it may just be people who have either paid it off or put down larger deposits.

I ordered on June 13th and have heard nothing yet.
I order June 16 have mega killzone bundle preorder and paid for so I'm good keep trying hopefully you be able to soon.

Was in the GameStop in the Crescent (Limerick) yesterday to check on the KillZone bundle. Preordered in June.

Basically said they're not allocating bundles yet, but when they are they'll go through the preorder list, earliest first, and phone the customers to check if they want to change to a bundle. (Also, form my position in said queue, I should have no trouble getting one).

They also had the model from the Buccaneer edition of AC IV on display - looks nice.

People who paid in full should be given the console first !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So someone who pays in full today should get it before someone who had the sense to pre order back in June?

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Pipe down you and get back in the queue :p

People who really wanted the console the most preordered back in late February or early March, and they are the people who will get it first, not somebody who jumped on the bandwagon late.

Nope. It shouldn't make any difference whether you've fully paid or not.

The console is out on Nov 29th and people who pre-ordered will pay the full amount when they collect their pre-orders.

The consoles should be distributed in order of when you pre-ordered.

There should'nt be any advantage gained in paying off early and if there is it should've been clearly stated as an option for everyone.

You're right. When I go in on the 29th of November I shall pay what is remaining, if anything, for my PS4. I doubt they will give it to me if I don't have it paid for fully.
Therefore it will be paid in full and the staff will hand out my console that I had the good sense to reserved back in June. :D

Back to the topic of bundles :)

I called into Jervis St. Smyths in Dublin this morning and upgraded to the Watch Dogs bundle, and reserved an extra controller, for a grand total for €499.98 (1 cent less than the Killzone bundle with the silly camera)

I think I'm about the 15th person on the list there and from reviewing the first page the guy behind the counter had printed off only 6 or 7 people have upgraded their pre-order to a bundle so far. Could be good news for people further down the list who want a bundle

So France is the first country to say they have sold out of stock and that they cannot honor your preorders till the end of January at the earliest if you ordered after the 1st of September. Now France will get a lot more consoles then we will, it does not bode well people hoping to get theirs before Christmas.

Also in the U.K some stores are forcing you to buy the more expensive bundles or lose out on having a guaranteed launch day console, it looks like it could get very scrappy and dirty in the coming weeks as regards your preorders and guaranteeing your console.

I read about this yesterday. It's not even the official bundles they're forcing people to buy, it's their own ones that include some cheap 3rd party accessories.

I had preordered the day after PS E3 show (June 14th I think). Had the whole thing paid off a few weeks ago with 30 each lashed onto Killzone and Watch dogs. Went into Blanch on Sunday and they transferred my KZ and PS4 to the bundle so I didn't lose my place. Alright, it still means I'll have to pay about 105-110 quid (Hopefully I can lash that off beforehand) to pay the balance, assuming Watchdogs is 65/70, but happy days

so, anyone want a megabundle with Watchdogs for Crimbo? Only 1K :) Just messin'

I know Gamestop get a bit of stick regarding prices/tradeins and staff quality but I've always found the staff in Blanch to be top notch, fair play to them.

What would you say the chances are for getting a bundle if I preordered on Aug 26? I'm saying extremely thin - no chance. As I only preordered in Aug, I'm guessing I don't have the option of ringing/calling into Smyths to upgrade my preorder. I'd say I'm so far down the list that i'll have to wait for them to call?

Most stores seem to be going by the 20th of July deadline, so you probably will not get offered one.

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! (shakes fist at the sky as the camera zooms out and out deep into the abyss of space until all that can be heard is the endless loop cycle from the frequency of his distraught distant voice)

I had an email from GameStop today in reply to my queries about their situation on the bundle deals.I have a PS4 pre-ordered online with them. They said they will be sending out emails today regarding the bundle offers.

Here's the email I just got, in regards to the Killzone bundles.
We have been informed by Sony that this bundle offer is only available for store customers & not online customers. We are making a announcement on this today.

So by the end of the day I'll likely be canceling my order with gamestop online and just waiting until after christmas or whenever I can get one, never buying anything off the ****ers again.

    How many bundles are they?

Presume I can get it bundle free... struggling to see the advantage on the bundles, the price plus game is not cheaper than buying separate?

To say I am very ANGRY would be an understatement!!!

I will keep my pre order but that will be the last bit of business I shall be doing with Gamestop and will make it my life mission to make as many people aware as possible that by ordering online at Gamestop.ie you are a second class customer!

I have been given the run around by GS for 2 months now anytime I tried to get info on bundles and now this!

This doesnt make sense. Why would Sony dictate to Gamestop to refuse bundle upgrades to online customers?
I agree with the previous post, this is the last time I'll deal with Gamestop.ie.

Keep the preorder, your looking at late January/ early February if you order again now.

Might of been a trade off they made to extend the length you were guaranteed a lunch day model online.

It would mean also Amazon, GAME, GSUK etc would not be offering online bundles also!

GS IRL are up to no good!

Well that's just not right!! I had a funny feeling that the email they were going to send me,was going to be bad news. But I didn't want to believe it.Now you've confirmed my suspicions, that's a real kick in the cojones.

When I first pre-ordered I had asked GameStop will I be able to upgrade to a bundle deal,if they become available.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,524 ✭✭✭✭Varik

That's what I got from emails and here another source, a reply to a tweet asking about the bundles
Unfortunately not Matt but we will have additional offers like €10 or €20 off an additional controller or game of your choice.

Considering the the value in the mega Killzone bundle (~€70 discount) it going to have to be near the €20 for the each.

Unbelievable that they can shaft online pre-orders like this.
I will keep my ps4 pre ordered but have cancelled all the games that I had pre ordered from gamestop.ie and will never deal with them again.

Just got a call from Smyths Tallaght to see what bundle I wanted.

I went for the €500 bundle (with the camera etc).

Delighted. Didn't think i would get a chance to pick the €500 bundle cause I was 70+ on the list.

Feel sorry for you guys that ordered online and can't get a bundle. I thought it was a joke at first but obviously not.

Really bad form out of gamestop, should have been communicated ages ago that they weren't gonna be able to offer bundles online..
