37 Cousins. What's your record?

I have just finished couting all my first cousins. There's at least 37 of them (2 RIP). And that's only on my dad's side. A lot of them I've never met.

Some of us look like we're related to each other. Some don't - I counted at least 3 different skin colours. Some are bilingual. There's a white rasta and an ex-Foreign Legion. So a pretty various bunch all round

I have about that many between both sides,however my grandfather had 101 first cousins

most of which lived in the same town!

The number has probably increased since I counted. No we're not travellers

25 on my da's side. Get along with the vast majority but it was a different story growing up when the majority of us grew up in the same flats complex and not a day would pass without at least one fight between us.

39 on my mothers side (large family who each had a large family themselvs.) Only 4 on my fathers side (family of 4 and two became priests) I can honestly say I am close to only one of them and there some that I wouldn't even recognise if I passed them in the street.

I have about 35 in total both sides.

There's a big age gap between some of us (i'm one of the younger cousins on both sides) but we all get on well when we see each other. Some I don't see very often though. Family gatherings are great craic! They can also be very embarrassing but that's life.:pac:

I can't tell if you're joking. Say it isn't so :eek:. I kid. Culturally, I am allowed to marry anyone who is not my dad's brother's child or my mom's sister's child.
