    Yeah I agree.

I've yet to see a cyclist do anything exciting at all.

It's a Good point you're making though. They are all quite dull, I agree.

Anything exciting like obeying the rotr?:D

IMO lots of cyclist enthusiasts are just as bad. There is a group of them that cycle up my way on the weekends and they are totally obnoxious. They cycle 3-4 abreast and maybe 5 deep (if that makes sense) and generally make life difficult for all other road users.

Cyclists scare the fook outta me tbh but what's gonna draw more bad press, a few cvnts on bikes that won't pull in or some dickwad in a civic doing reverse doughnuts?

I leave for two hours to come back to a huge debate on stickers

    What have I started?! :o

How many regulars on the motors forum have a civic? 2 or 3 that comes to mind.

Shouldn't be hard tracking down who said dickward was anyway.

As far as I know I'm the only one on here with a metallic grey 156 v6.
Ain't hard to track me down if I'm acting the maggot.

Might prove a challenge though with all those e46s going around.

I didnt think any of us messed about when it came to meet ups, but I wouldnt put a boards sticker on, the logo is just cheesy and would not work, maybe the O(as Ded Zed said) on a window in white would look well and it would be easy to identify people at meet ups.

I remember approaching people at one of the midways meets to ask if they wanted to get out of the cold and grab a coffee with the rest of us and got totally ignored, but maybe these people where not part of the motoring boards community, if they had a decal on their cars I would have known.

I would vote decal, but not sticker.

I would vote decal, but not sticker.

    Whats the difference?

They are more or less the same thing but I think of a sticker as being made from paper and does not last, a decal in my mind is a proffessional vinyl type material made with a clear background. Same thing really.

Being financed by them (tax payer) would help explain how you fund your fuel bill!:P

I give up. Leading to my birthday I've had:

    a) a main dealer scratch my bumper while doing warranty work (Wednesday, and not heard from them since)

    b) my brakes fail on the motorway (Friday)

    C) A loud noise from my engine (Monday)

    D) No clutch (Tuesday)

I literally got to today and said I ****ing hate cars. Happy bloody birthday to me.

I know your pain tp :(

I also want to figure out what little cnut put milk and sugar in my Jerry can of petrol.
Filled the bike and it started and died, wouldn't go no matter what.
Took the carb off and the mess I found defies belief!
What did they get out of doing this!

You don't appear to have much success with your cars. :(

I've gotten the car back and now have to assess the situation. I've got broken chain guides, a failed tensioner, the chain itself may be ok, vacuum pump has failed, calipers seized and oil leaks.

The problem is I either do it all or do nothing.

Is there high mileage on your car I was in your situation earlier this year when I brought the focus to them mechanic and got a long list of stuff. At least you if that's all done you'll have a perfect car. I suppose it depends on the quote you get.

Is this all on the e46?

It currently sits at 115K. I asked the mechanic what he thought and he said if it was rough he'd tell me to just drive it on (obviously fix the brakes) but he felt it was in such good condition otherwise that it would certainly be worth investing in if i was going to keep it.

It sure is. I'm gutted. The only thing I can do is fix it or trade it in.

    That really sucks man :(

What happened that so many things went wrong all at the same time? Were you ragging the hole off it :P

I don't know. The leaks were there but a sudden drop in MPG lead me to believe something else was amiss.

The vaccum pump only started giving problems last week.

maybe use it as a trade in? Unless you are keeping it, will be quite expensive to get everything sorted on it

It's also expensive to change. That's where my problem starts. Expensive to fix and expensive to change.

I know we're forever moaning about our motorway quality but I've been up and down to Belfast over the last few days and the quality of the M1/A1 isn't great at all. Especially signage and line painting is crap up there. You can notice the difference when you cross the border south of Newry back onto the N1.

Ended up continuing up the M1 towards Craigavon where it splits up to the A1/M1 instead of going up to Dublin. It aint exactly signposted until the last minute. Annoying.

I know when I was up at traynors a few months back (Dublin to Traynors to Athlone) I noticed everytime I crossed the boarder into/back into the north, signage was awful. I didnt need sat nav or meteor texting me to tell me I was in the north. Shoddy signage is, ironically, the first sign that you're in the north.

Not wanting to open a political debate but you're dealing with a crowd who refused to continue a given motorway over the border and instead opted for a Dual Carriageway.
