My Mac thinks it's a Windows

    Was using Windows partition on Boot camp and now cannot get out of it. Mac starts in Windows every time. Keyboard seems unresponsive until system is loaded. Tried changing HD but comes up "no boot disk - insert boot disk".
    I know the HD has a Mac Os. Was last using X.6.8

    Holding option on startup doesn't work?

    What keyboard are you using?

    Mac extended. Can use it after windows loads.

    Unfortunately that advice came too late. In my panic I repartitioned 2 HDs with only Mac OS thinking if there was no Windows partition it would boot from OsX.
    I have a Windows laptop and a Macbook Air if they would help at all.

    If the alt(option) key isn't giving you a disk to boot from there may be issues, generally with bootcamp it'll install a startup disk control panel in windows to select your startup drive.

    I have got the Snow Leopard disk out by connecting the mouse to the computer and not the keyboard.
    I have inserted Windows 7 DVD and it will boot from that but only so far. It wants to install Windows on the HD but I do not want that.
    I borrowed a Windows keyboard and tried Sad Professors suggestion but it can't find the drive as I have deleted it. Anybody?

    Problem solved. I used the Windows keyboard to reset the PRAM. Thanks for all the suggestions.
