The idea is simple, you pick who you think is the best 1-15 from this years championship. It can be whoever you think, from players from 15 different counties to a pick of two teams. Just one rule, you cannot pick a full county panel i.e. You can't pick a full Limerick panel, there has to be atleast two counties represented in your selection. After a week or so, I'll put together the most commonly selected players and post it up here. If there's a tie for a position, they'll go into a hat. If you want, you can also nominate a manager.

    Nash (cork)

    O Neill(cork)
    McCarthy(lim)
    McInertney(clare)

    Bulger(clare)
    Rushe(dub)
    O'Connor(clare)

    Ryan(clare)
    McLoughlin(cork)

    Harnedy(cork)
    Kelly(clare)
    Ryan(clare)

    McGrath(clare)

Thats 8 clare, 5 cork, 1 dub, 1 limerick. Clare probably wont get 8 in fairness

    Or David Mcinerney

McCarthy had a better year for me

Wouldn't include O'Connor and McGrath from what I've seen of them throughout year

O'Donovan surely gets a corner back slot.

    Soundest otherwise IMO

Nash let in 5 yesterday, could cost him the all star.

If you think Nash shouldn't get an All Star you're either on a wind up or need your head checked

He could make POY shortlist ffs. Super keeper

I was the first time a team really ran at cork, and the floodgates opened.

BobSloane's is probably closest to what I'd have.

Bugler is a good player, but a bit overhyped imo...Honestly think O'Connor has had a better year than him, and never gets the credit he deserves. Donnellan could also get ahead of him.

O'Neill and O'Sullivan were both real candidates for the full-back line before the final, dunno if they'd get it now. Personally wouldn't have O'Donovan either... Think McInerney will get one in the corner, Dillon had a good year too.

As far as I can tell, there's one forward position up for grabs and it's likely between McGrath, Honan, Dotsy, maybe Lehane...Shane O'Donnell real outside chance.

McGrath played so well yesterday it could be enough but yeah over the year he prob doen't deserve it. O donovan I think is unlucky that the fb line is very competitive. McCarthy is limericks most likely all star i'd say and there has to be a place for Mcinertney. O neill getting torn up yesterday could cost him though he looked to be a lock

Wouldn't have Galvin on any team , poor last 2 days , think o donnell will have to make it after the performance yesterday and also u21 all Ireland , Kevin Moran another longshot but won't make it

All stars is a bit of a joke.

    I'd give Clare 5, Dub 3, LK 2, CK 2, Tipp/KK/Galway 1 each.

    Galway? Tipperary?

I'm looking forward to hearing who

That's why it's a joke, it doesn't matter who, so long as they get 1 each.

    Nash
    Donovan
    McCarthy
    McInerney
    Bugler
    Rushe
    O'Connor
    Ryan
    Kearney

I guarantee you neither will be represented

The only real qualms I have is that recency effect plays such a huge role but then again the final and semis are the biggest games so you could argue this is when the players truly need to perform and their role is even more important in these games

I do agree. And Cork were exposed badly yesterday in defense.

Every team lost at least 1 game, so I'd be expecting Clare to get the most possibly 5.

I'd agree with this, have a feeling Sutcliffe will be there though

    Peter Kelly
    Donnellan
    Rushe
    Bugler
    Daniel Kearney
    Colin Ryan
    Suttcliffe

    Podge Collins
    Pat Horgan
    Conor McGrath

    Clare=7
    Cork=4
    Dublin=3
    Limerick=1

Not a hope of Shane O Neill getting an all-star after having the worst game of his life yesterday. 4-3 was scored off him.

Brian Murphy is a maybe but to he missed the Munster Final, and the all-ireland semi as well. Was very good yesterday though and of course the first day marking Tony Kelly.

Lehane was good in the last couple of games after a bad start but probably not enough. Dotsy may get one. Honan is a no hoper.

I think Conor McGrath should get it. Not a vintage year for him but he got a crucial goal against us, and again against Galway. And he was very close to man of the match yesterday.

I think from a Clare point of view, I'd be fairly confident that Bugler, Donnellan, Colin Ryan, Tony Kelly & Podge Collins all get one. So that's 5.

I'd say McInerney is a probable, so that would be 6.

O'Donovan, Conor Ryan, McGrath and maybe Galvin would all have an outside shot, so if one of them got it that'd be 7 which would seem about right.

Not only are they All-Ireland champions, but they played a lot of championship matches this year (8 I think) and won an U21 title. Which all helps in winning All-Stars.

How could people leave out Sutcliffe?

    Sutcliffe allday.

Quite a tough one this, I'm only 100% happy with about half of my selections. Huge number of candidates who have had very good, but not necessarily standout years, especially at half back/ midfield , you could make a case for an awful lot of players TBH.

I have (6 Clare, 4 Cork, 3 Dubs and 2 Limerick), I have bolded who I think are nailed on certainties.

    Nash

    McInerney
    McCarthy
    Kelly

    Bugler
    Rushe
    Donnellan

    Browne
    Kearney

    Sutcliffe
    Kelly
    Harnedy

    Collins
    Horgan
    McGrath

    1 Nash
    2 O Donovan
    3 McInerney
    4 McCarthy
    5 Bugler
    6 Donnellan
    7 Rushe
    8 Kearney
    9 Galvin
    10 Colin Ryan
    11 Kelly
    12 Sutcliffe
    13 Collins
    14 Horgan
    15 Mc Grath

    1 limerick, 2 Dublin, 3 Cork

I'd be fairly sure of the two dubs lovely hurlers the pair of them
Nash is a certainty for goalie
Kelly, Collins, Colin Ryan, Bugler, Donnellan fairly certain to get in
    McInerney deserves it
The rest is a mix of optimism and opinion
